Volume Four: Renowned Throughout the Land Chapter 120: You Decide How to Handle It
Du Lang’s reputation was utterly disreputable; throughout the neighboring villages, he was universally despised. Orphaned at a young age, he grew up relying on the charity of countless households, yet never showed an ounce of gratitude. Instead, he spent his days stealing and scheming, committing every kind of misdeed. After more than a decade away from the village, he had somehow become a lackey for the Pan family. With money in hand, he gathered a group of idle delinquents and helped Pan Shao settle troublesome matters, thereby securing his so-called funding.
Sanmiao Village was where he had once lived. Upon hearing that one of his men had been beaten, he rallied dozens of others, piled into an old pickup truck, and stormed toward Sanmiao Village with fierce determination.
Two police officers were notified and ordered to return immediately, though the reason was unclear.
He Tianlong watched them leave, shaking his phone with a broad smile spreading across his face.
When the group of thugs arrived, they immediately disembarked. Du Lang stepped down from the pickup wearing a black tank top, a gold necklace hanging around his neck—looking every bit the nouveau riche.
Du Lang frowned as he looked at Qin Yang, a flicker of familiarity crossing his features, though he clearly couldn’t place him.
The others gave Du Lang cold looks. In their hearts, he was a traitorous ingrate. If it weren’t for Old Qin’s intervention back then, none of them would have gone out of their way to help him. Now that he had grown up and gained some ability, he had turned around and broken Old Qin’s leg without hesitation. How could anyone not be furious?
“Heh, Aunt Liu, Uncle Ma, Uncle—you’re all here!” Du Lang smirked.
“I say, we should move out of here. Let Pan Shao develop the land properly, and we’ll get cash compensation. Isn’t that just fine?” someone suggested.
“Our boss just got beaten by that brat,” one of the bruised underlings ran over to report.
“Got your ass kicked and still have the nerve to speak?” Du Lang kicked the useless lackey before striding toward Qin Yang. “Brat? Hey, isn’t this Old Qin’s son?”
“You must be Qin Yang. I’m your Uncle Du,” Du Lang said excitedly, as if their prior troubles had never existed and their relationship was close.
Qin Yang made no move to stand, his brows furrowed deeply as he took a long drag from his cigarette. “You broke my dad’s leg?”
“Qin Yang, no matter how much of a scoundrel your Uncle Du is, he wouldn’t lay a hand on Old Qin—it was Pan Wei,” Du Lang said helplessly. He now lived off Pan Wei and had been present at the scene that day without intervening.
Pan Wei? The name sounded vaguely familiar—wasn’t that the guy he had encountered in Bin City? He wasn’t sure if it was the same person.
“So, Du Lang, how do you plan to resolve this?” Qin Yang asked.
“Are you expecting an explanation?” Qin Yang’s eyes suddenly sharpened. Du Lang’s heart jolted as he felt the piercing gaze, like countless needles pricking him.
“Hmph, explanation? I tried to persuade Old Qin back then, but he wouldn’t listen. I was doing this for everyone’s good—to get us to leave here, let the place be developed, and come back later. Isn’t that better?”
Bang! Qin Yang’s punch landed—a force unlike any ordinary man’s. Blood sprayed from Du Lang’s mouth in a fountain, shock filling his eyes as he staggered back.
“You dare hit me? No matter who you are, today I’ll make sure you die!” The thugs charged forward, but Qin Yang clapped his hands. Suddenly, He Tianlong sprang into action with lightning speed.
Though He Tianlong’s martial arts skills were modest, he was no ordinary man. Within a minute, all the thugs lay on the ground.
Qin Yang walked forward step by step, while Du Lang collapsed helplessly. These were supposed to be his elite men—he never expected them to be so easily defeated.
“Hmph, Qin brat, I never thought you’d have backup. But don’t think you’re tough just because you can fight. Luckily, Pan Shao brought along a martial arts master. Let’s see how you meet your end this time.”
From inside the vehicle, an older man respectfully called out, “Old Tian!”
Old Tian was a martial arts expert with a unique style. Despite lacking background and resources, he had reached the peak of the Apocalypse Realm—truly remarkable.
He scrutinized the young man before him. There was no sign of genuine internal energy flowing; he seemed like an ordinary person. Yet for an ordinary man to unleash such powerful force—he found it hard to believe.
“Boy, I am Tian Xin. What is your name?”
Qin Yang sneered, “My name? Honestly, you don’t deserve to know.”
Tian Xin’s face darkened instantly. “Arrogant, truly arrogant. Let me teach you some manners.”
“Teach me? You think you’re worthy?” Without hesitation, Qin Yang struck out.
Tian Xin was pushed back, shock flashing in his eyes. He knew his own strength well but never expected his proud move to be so easily countered by this young man.
And to be driven back by such a youth—could it be innate divine power?
This mission should have been a breeze, yet inexplicably, Qin Yang felt a twinge of regret. So far, he hadn’t uncovered any of his opponent’s hidden cards.
He leapt into the air, launching a flurry of leg strikes.
Tian Xin’s kicking techniques were famed for their ferocity, but Qin Yang remained unmoved. Glancing at He Tianlong beside him, he smiled, “Today I’ll teach you another move. Whether you learn it depends on your own comprehension.”
His hands flipped through the air, a dreadful aura of slaughter radiating outward.
Blood Rakshasa!
Everyone gasped in astonishment. What they had thought was just a brawl between hooligans had turned into something far more intense.
Qin Yang was unquestionably a martial artist—and a formidable one at that.
As the deadly mark drew closer, true energy surged into his legs. “Break!”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The roaring wind and crashing fists echoed in their ears.
The battle was like something out of a blockbuster, thrilling everyone watching.
Tian Xin’s strength was weak, his foundation shallow. By the time he unleashed his third punch, he could no longer hold out and was sent flying.
He Tianlong carefully observed the fight, especially the sequence of punches Qin Yang executed. His opponent deliberately slowed the pace to let He Tianlong study it.
“Du Lang, don’t worry—I won’t let you off so easily. Now get lost. As for our grudge, we’ll settle it later.”
Seeing the two limping away, Qin Yang’s murderous intent faded. His father’s injury wasn’t mainly due to Du Lang or Tian Xin, or else he wouldn’t have let them off so lightly.
“Deliver a message to Pan Wei. Tell him I, Qin Yang from Beihai, will be visiting him soon.”
