Chapter 90: The Immortal-Execution Formation
About ten minutes later, Zhao Feng opened his eyes.
Geng Wei was a little excited. "Master, is it done?"
Zhao Feng said coldly, "Take me to your house."
Geng Wei froze. "Why do we need to go to my house?"
Zhao Feng was too lazy for nonsense. "I need to see what was used to cast the spell."
"Oh, oh!"
Geng Wei believed every word Zhao Feng said.
Zhao Feng said nothing more. After pulling out the silver needles, he headed outside on his own.
Geng Wei hurried after him.
When they got outside, Geng Wei was actually driving a Mercedes G500.
Zhao Feng was surprised. This Geng Wei really did have a bit of presence. It looked like he should hurry up and buy a car himself.
Without another word, Zhao Feng opened the door and got in.
He sat in the back seat, eyes closed, resting.
Since this was not a good errand, Geng Wei had come alone. He had not brought his driver.
So Geng Wei took the wheel himself.
After getting into the driver’s seat, he started the car. "Master, are you ready?"
Zhao Feng gave a faint hum, not even lifting his eyelids.
The engine roared, and Geng Wei slammed the accelerator, shooting forward at once.
He was burning with impatience, driving recklessly fast, looking utterly arrogant.
On a dirt road ahead, Zhao Xiao was walking when a Mercedes G500 suddenly came hurtling toward him. He hurriedly dodged aside, but in the end he was splashed head to toe with muddy water.
"Damn it!"
Zhao Xiao cursed under his breath.
Screech.
The speeding Mercedes G500 stopped.
The window on the driver’s side rolled down, and Geng Wei stuck his head out. "You little punk, what did you just say?"
Zhao Xiao hurriedly shook his head. "I didn’t say anything!"
"Hmph. You want to die, do you?"
Geng Wei said.
"I, I..."
Seeing such a fine car, Zhao Xiao instantly lost his nerve.
Geng Wei was about to say more when a voice came from inside the car. "Enough. Hurry up and go to your house."
"Right away, Master!"
Geng Wei drove off in a cloud of dust.
Zhao Xiao stood there, dumbfounded. "Was that Zhao Feng’s voice just now? What on earth is Zhao Feng doing these days? Why are luxury cars coming and going from him every day?"
All the way there, Geng Wei drove at high speed, and it was plain to see he was in great haste.
In just twenty minutes, they reached the county seat.
Geng Wei drove into a high-end residential complex.
"Master, we’re here!"
Geng Wei bobbed and bowed, acting as though he would follow Zhao Feng’s lead in everything.
Zhao Feng gave no reply. "Get out."
"Yes!"
They got out of the car and took the elevator, going straight to the fifth floor.
Geng Wei said proudly, "Master, the whole fifth floor belongs to me. If you want it, I can give you a set!"
Zhao Feng waved a hand and did not close the door on the idea. "We’ll see."
Hearing that there might be a chance, Geng Wei was overjoyed. "All right, all right!"
"Mm."
The two came to one of the apartments, and Geng Wei verified his fingerprint.
Click.
The door opened. Geng Wei gestured invitingly. "Please."
Zhao Feng was not polite and walked straight in.
Once inside, he looked around as if searching for something.
Frowning, Zhao Feng found nothing unusual in Geng Wei’s home.
He asked calmly, "Do you often stay here?"
Geng Wei scratched his head. "If nothing unexpected happens, this is the place I stay in most often, and the place I stay in for the longest time."
Zhao Feng frowned. "Is there anywhere else you often stay?"
Geng Wei shook his head. "No."
"That shouldn’t be."
Zhao Feng stroked his chin and began searching the room.
He entered another room, decorated in a cute, childlike style.
"Whose room is this?" Zhao Feng asked.
Geng Wei’s face darkened. "My son’s."
Zhao Feng nearly laughed, though he held it back.
So this Geng Wei had been raising someone else’s child all these years.
With his hands clasped behind his back, Zhao Feng looked around, but still found nothing wrong.
He frowned. "That doesn’t make sense."
Lifting his chin, he said, "Take me to your bedroom and let me have a look."
"All right."
The two went to another room.
Zhao Feng inspected it, but still found no problem.
His brows drew together.
Suddenly, in a corner, he spotted a green bagua mirror. It was green, with a glass mirror set in the center.
Zhao Feng was startled. "Who put this bagua mirror here?"
Geng Wei touched his nose. "My wife."
"What did she put a bagua mirror here for?" Zhao Feng asked.
"My wife said it was to ward off evil."
"Rubbish," Zhao Feng retorted.
Geng Wei blinked. "Master Zhao, is there something wrong with this bagua mirror?"
Zhao Feng shook his head. "There’s nothing wrong with the mirror itself, but it will affect the geomantic arrangement of the house."
Geng Wei was astonished. "Master, you understand feng shui too?"
Zhao Feng smiled coldly. "Traditional medicine and feng shui are not separate things."
"Oh, oh!"
Geng Wei slapped his forehead. "Master, you really are amazing!"
Zhao Feng said nothing.
He stroked his chin. "What should I do now?"
Suddenly, his eyes lit up.
He chuckled. "I can change the feng shui arrangement myself."
Then he looked at Geng Wei. "Go outside. I’m going to adjust the feng shui for you."
Geng Wei blinked. "Do you need my help?"
"No need."
Zhao Feng’s voice was cold.
"Oh, all right."
Geng Wei left the room.
Zhao Feng’s expression darkened in an instant. "Let me see who it is."
He bent down, picked up the bagua mirror, and bit open his own fingertip.
A drop of vivid red blood fell onto the mirror.
Suddenly, a wisp of black mist rose from it and lunged toward Zhao Feng’s face.
"Hmph."
Zhao Feng gave a cold snort. "So this mirror was a hidden contingency after all."
"Good thing I decided on a whim to alter the feng shui, or I would have overlooked it."
"But it doesn’t matter. Once I lay down the Immortal Execution formation, no matter what little rat you are, you’ll have to submit obediently."
Blood dripped onto the mirror as he hastily formed a series of hand seals.
Buzz, buzz.
A jade-green spiritual light appeared around Zhao Feng.
The spiritual energy circled him, and with a sudden change of seals, there was a boom. The surrounding energy contracted rapidly, finally condensing into a single green pearl.
That pearl was only the size of a soybean.
Holding it between his fingers, Zhao Feng gently placed it at the center of the mirror.
At once, the pearl seemed to melt like ice and snow, sinking directly into the mirror.
When he was done, Zhao Feng smiled coldly. "Let’s see who you really are."
Hmph.
With a cold snort, he rose and walked out of the room.
Outside, Geng Wei was waiting anxiously, rubbing his hands together. When he saw Zhao Feng come out, he hurried over. "Master, how is it? Is it fixed?"
Zhao Feng nodded. "It’s been resolved. However..."
