Chapter 131: The Journey to the Eye of the Extreme Yang Sea Begins
Zhao Feng slowly extended his right hand. “Give it to me!”
He spoke in a tone that brooked no refusal.
“Gulp!”
Du Meng swallowed hard.
He was somewhat nervous. Zhao Feng’s presence was simply too overwhelming.
Trembling, Du Meng raised the scroll and handed it over.
Zhao Feng made a beckoning motion from across the air. In an instant, the scroll flew toward him on its own.
He caught it in one hand, then spread his lips in a grin.
With a sharp ripping sound, he tore the scroll open.
In full view of everyone, Zhao Feng stared at the painting for ten seconds before calmly rolling it back up.
With his hands clasped behind his back, he asked, “So, have I won now?”
“Whoa!”
Everyone was stunned.
“How is that possible? He actually lasted ten seconds!”
“My God! He’s incredible!”
Du Meng let out a shriek as well. “Impossible! Impossible, impossible!”
Zhao Feng gave a cold, mocking laugh. “Nothing is impossible.”
Du Meng immediately flew into a rage from embarrassment. “You must have cheated!”
“Ha!”
Zhao Feng sneered. “I’m not even interested in cheating.”
Du Meng’s face turned livid. He had no idea what to say.
Zhao Feng tossed the painting back to him.
Du Meng caught it in one hand.
Still unwilling to believe it, he tore open the scroll with another sharp rip. Then he took a quick look.
Just one glance.
“Pfft!”
He spat out a pool of blood.
Clutching his chest, Du Meng stared at Zhao Feng in shock. “How exactly did you do that?”
Zhao Feng only gave a cold laugh and remained silent.
He turned toward Xiang Xiangyu. “Discuss it among yourselves. In five minutes, the ten surplus people will leave.”
Xiang Xiangyu hurriedly bowed and nodded. “Yes! Yes, of course!”
After speaking, Zhao Feng paid him no further attention. He walked straight to the side, sat down, and closed his eyes to rest.
Five minutes later, Xiang Xiangyu came over to him.
Zhao Feng slowly opened his eyes. “Have you decided?”
“Yes!”
“Who?”
Xiang Xiangyu smiled. “Whirlwind Iron Monkey, Tyrant Blade Wang Hu, Iron Tower Taishan, Xiang Tao and Du Meng, myself, and my four bodyguards.”
Zhao Feng gave a faint hum. “Let’s go.”
“Good!”
Xiang Xiangyu clapped his hands. An instant later, a bodyguard in a black suit approached.
He came to Xiang Xiangyu’s side and bowed respectfully.
Xiang Xiangyu waved his hand, and the bodyguard immediately understood.
He took a red flare gun from his waist.
“Bang!”
A brilliant firework rose into the sky.
“Vroom!”
“Vroom!”
At the far end of the horizon, a speedboat came racing toward them.
It took only three minutes for the boat to reach the group.
The person piloting it was a woman dressed in a diving suit.
She wore a tight black wetsuit that revealed her curvaceous figure, along with certain suggestive details.
Her hair was tied in a ponytail, and she looked utterly alluring.
She leaped from the speedboat and came to Xiang Xiangyu’s side. “Boss, please come aboard.”
“Good!”
Xiang Xiangyu boarded first.
Holding Red Field’s hand, Zhao Feng boarded as well. The others followed one after another.
Those who had not been chosen could only watch in envy, gnashing their teeth.
Once aboard, Zhao Feng leaned against the railing and closed his eyes to rest.
Seeing his unmistakable air of keeping strangers at a distance, Xiang Xiangyu rubbed his nose and said nothing.
He had no intention of making a fool of himself.
Xiang Xiangyu looked toward the woman. “Set off.”
“Yes, Boss!”
“Vroom!”
She piloted the speedboat toward the distance at full speed.
“Vroom!”
“Vroooom!”
The boat raced across the calm sea, churning up wave after wave.
“Vroom!”
The engine’s roar echoed in every direction.
By then, they had traveled several hundred nautical miles from the coast.
Wang Hu grew restless. “Why haven’t we arrived yet?”
Xiang Xiangyu smiled. “Brother Wang, be patient. We’ll be there soon.”
“Damn it!” Wang Hu cursed.
“Heh heh heh!”
Xiang Xiangyu and the others laughed.
Though they were all laughing, each of them kept glancing at Zhao Feng, intentionally or otherwise, to see how he would react.
Zhao Feng, however, was like a block of wood. He simply sat there with his eyes closed, resting.
The speedboat gradually slowed.
Zhao Feng slowly opened his eyes. “As expected, it’s the aura of the Extreme Yang Sea Eye. It’s just a little weak…”
The speedboat stopped in the middle of the ocean. Looking around, they could see nothing but sea in every direction. There was not a single island or stretch of coastline in sight.
Xiang Xiangyu smiled. “We’ve reached the Extreme Yang Sea Eye. The destination is directly beneath the boat.”
Wang Hu blinked. “How are we supposed to get down there?”
“Heh heh heh!”
Xiang Xiangyu laughed. “We’ll put on diving suits and go down.”
“We have to wear diving suits too?”
Xiang Xiangyu rolled his eyes. “Otherwise, what do you suggest?”
Wang Hu scratched his head. “Don’t forget, we’re cultivators. We know Breath-Holding Technique!”
Xiang Xiangyu glared at him. “It’s a thousand meters down. How long do you think you can hold your breath?”
“Heh heh heh!”
Wang Hu gave an awkward laugh.
Xiang Xiangyu stopped wasting words. He picked up a set of diving equipment and put it on.
The others followed his example and donned their wetsuits as well.
Everyone was soon dressed in black diving suits, with large oxygen tanks strapped to their backs.
Zhao Feng was no exception. He put on a diving suit too.
Xiang Xiangyu drew a deep breath. “Everyone, are you ready?”
They all nodded.
“Good! Then let’s go!”
With that, Xiang Xiangyu leaped into the water first.
The others followed in succession.
They plunged into the sea and swam toward the ocean floor.
The group swam through the pitch-black depths.
By now, the seawater had turned completely dark, and they could no longer make out their surroundings.
Wang Hu gestured, asking, “How much farther?”
Xiang Xiangyu made a gesture in reply. “We’re almost there!”
They continued descending.
Suddenly, they felt the temperature around them rising.
“Glug, glug!”
To Zhao Feng’s astonishment, the seawater around them was actually boiling.
“Looks like we’re nearly there!”
Zhao Feng paid no further attention to the others and swam ahead toward the depths.
Suddenly, a sphere of golden light appeared within his field of vision.
Zhao Feng was delighted. “It really is the Extreme Yang Sea Eye!”
That golden sphere was none other than the Extreme Yang Sea Eye.
Overjoyed, Zhao Feng swam toward it at full speed.
The sphere of light grew larger and larger.
By the time he drew near, it was as though he were standing beside a colossal golden egg.
The surrounding seawater was pitch-black, while the mass of golden light resembled a vast universe. Standing before it, Zhao Feng looked no larger than an ant.
He slowly extended his right hand and carefully touched it.
“As expected, it’s Extreme Yang energy!”
“Heh heh heh!”
Zhao Feng laughed happily.
He glanced at the people behind him and stroked his chin.
“How can I keep them from noticing?”
A light flashed in Zhao Feng’s eyes.
He sent a voice transmission to Red Field. “In a moment, lure them away. I have something to do.”
Red Field blinked inwardly. “What is it?”
Zhao Feng rolled his eyes. “Don’t worry about that. In any case, it’s something that will benefit both of us.”
