Chapter Seventy-Two: Hong's Analysis
The headquarters of the Limit Martial Arts Hall was once a massive spaceship wreck, which Hong had brought here as their base of operations.
On this particular day, an alarm sounded from the hall’s intelligent steward.
“What’s going on?” Hong put down his teacup and looked up, inquiring.
Thunder God, sitting nearby, wore a look of curiosity as well. The two of them were often together—sometimes discussing martial arts, sometimes simply enjoying tea. Across the globe, few could sit and converse with such composure alongside these two.
“Satellite surveillance has detected a king-level battle breaking out in Australia! The target is now locked, and all other monitoring signals have been temporarily blocked.”
A projection appeared before them, displaying a full map of Australia. The image zoomed in, first revealing a fighter jet.
Hong’s intelligent steward was prioritized above all others worldwide.
“A Universe-class fighter jet?” Thunder God remarked with amusement. “Which senator is bored enough to go chat with a king-level beast again?”
“That’s Qin Ming’s jet,” Hong replied.
“Qin Ming?” Thunder God was momentarily stunned. “That kid couldn’t have grown so fast, could he? Is he already capable of going toe-to-toe with a king-level beast?”
“With his rate of progress, it’s very likely,” Hong said. “Given his strength, what else would bring him to Australia but a king-level beast?”
The feed continued, finally showing Qin Ming shattering the golden kangaroo’s eggs with a single kick.
“Hiss! That kid is ruthless—just watching that kick makes me ache!” Thunder God shuddered, then laughed. “Who would have thought? He’s already able to contend with the so-called strongest puncher among the monsters! Remarkable, truly remarkable.”
“Look at his boxing technique—it’s exquisite, even beyond your Ninefold Thunder Blade!” Hong observed intently. “Strange… could it be his own creation?”
“Wait! That kid just looked up—could he have sensed the satellite’s surveillance? His perception is impressive! As for his martial technique, if even you don’t recognize it, it must be his own creation!” Thunder God shook his head abruptly. “No, that can't be right. He created Step Flash and Air Step at eighteen—already a marvel for his time. But to now devise a secret technique more refined than my Ninefold Thunder Blade? He must have discovered some relic. Otherwise, how could he advance so quickly? We’ve investigated—as recently as five months ago, the kid was unremarkable, barely any martial talent, and mediocre in his studies!”
“Whatever the case, it bodes well for humanity,” Hong mused.
Thunder God nodded. “That’s well said.”
Though the footage was somewhat unclear, they could still make out the details.
“Damn, this kid is something else—one punch shatters the golden kangaroo’s forelimb, then a kick to finish it off. That explosive power!”
“Eight million kilograms of force achieved!” an electronic voice announced. “A ninefold amplification in power!”
“Ninefold?” Thunder God licked his lips.
“Ninefold—surpassing the amplification of your Ninefold Thunder Blade!” Hong remarked in awe. “And his boxing technique seems to hold more in reserve. This likely isn’t his own invention. Most global relics have already been thoroughly explored—so where did he obtain such fortune?”
“The world is vast, full of relics—we might have missed one or two.”
“True enough.”
A while later, they saw Qin Ming barbecuing.
“This kid truly knows how to enjoy himself. But king-level beast meat is hardly appetizing! Wait, that’s a Nine-leaf Orchid Lingzhi—an essence of flora! Where did he find that?” Thunder God clicked his tongue in amazement. “Now we know why he’s advancing so rapidly—essence of flora! That stuff even purifies our bodies.”
Hong nodded. “Aside from everything else, a youngster who’s reached this level of strength yet continues training so diligently, without arrogance or impetuousness, clearly has an extraordinary temperament and a burning ambition for power.”
“Who doesn’t crave power? It’s exactly what we’re lacking right now.”
Hong fell silent.
The feed continued to play. They sipped their tea quietly, occasionally pointing at the screen to discuss a few details. For over a month, they barely moved.
“The second one—he’s eaten it as well!”
“The third—still eating?”
“I’m starting to worry. If he keeps killing three in a row, won’t that trigger a beast riot across all of Australia?” Thunder God frowned. “Don’t forget, it was you who personally negotiated with every king-level-and-above beast on land, laying down the rule that neither kings nor senators could make a move. And what about the python last time—Hong, is it truly dead? Counting that one, it’s four now—clearly disrupting the balance!”
“I happened to be in seclusion for a few days last time, so I missed it. As for the balance…” A faint smile flickered at the corner of Hong’s mouth. “The kid hasn’t broken through yet, has he?”
“Hahaha! Well said, very well said!” Thunder God laughed heartily. “Let him make his mess, then! But in the end, he’s bound to pay a price. Still, with a Universe-class fighter, if he’s clever, it’ll be hard for him to die. My only worry is that the big one in Australia might intervene. And if he kills too many, enraging them, Hong, the consequences could be dire!”
“Perhaps it’s time to pay a visit. Will you go, or shall I?”
“I’ll go! If that one really takes action, I’ll teach it a harsh lesson—and seize the opportunity to eliminate it!”
“Don’t stumble into a pitfall.”
“My physical strength, my attack, my speed, even my cultivation—all are superior to yours!”
“But you’re still not my match.”
“How boring!” With a flash, Thunder God vanished.
“Don’t intervene unless it’s a matter of life and death!” Hong’s voice followed him out, then he continued sipping tea.
The boundless wilderness stretched on, bleak and desolate.
Qin Ming had been here for many days.
He hunted king-level beasts, then roasted and ate them.
Yet king-level beasts were enormous— even the smallest golden kangaroo weighed dozens of tons, enough to sustain him for a long time. The elephant was even more substantial.
Treading on empty air, strolling through the mountains, he lifted his eyes to the sun and moon, and lowered them to appreciate the landscape.
Unfortunately, Qin Ming was alone, his solitary figure highlighting the loneliness. Yet he cared little for this.
When bored, he would call his family, or enter his fighter jet, connect to War God Palace through his helmet, and chat idly with others, boasting and exchanging tales.
Ah, life—apart from a few serious matters, the rest is but laughter and banter.
“Master, another target detected—a Diamondburst Ape, forty meters tall, in the valley ahead!”
The intelligent fighter’s transmission sounded from the watch on his wrist.
“A Diamondburst Ape? Forty meters?”
Qin Ming took a deep breath.
A Burst Ape was already formidable; with “Diamond” in its name, its strength could only be more terrifying. And at forty meters tall—over ten stories high—this was truly a king among beasts, a being at the very pinnacle.
“Peak planetary level one, or planetary level two? If it’s level three, this could be fun!” As he mused, his pace quickened, and in a flash he reached the valley indicated by his intelligent fighter. From above, he saw mist shrouding the valley, waterfalls streaming, creeks winding through.
On the left cliffside, lush vines climbed all the way to the thousand-meter summit. At the base of the right cliff sat a massive black ape.
Even seated, it exuded an aura of wild ferocity.
This was the Diamondburst Ape. It suddenly raised its head, looking at Qin Ming, and its lips curled back in a vicious sneer. It lifted an arm, beckoned Qin Ming closer, then raised its middle finger and abruptly flipped it downward, pointing at the ground.
“Is that a challenge?” Qin Ming chuckled, though an inexplicable tension stirred within him.
Beep beep beep!
His watch chimed with a new alert.
“Master, a king-level pangolin has emerged underground in the valley, a king-level golden-winged eagle is flying in from above, and the vines nearby are also emanating king-level energy fluctuations!”
“What?” Qin Ming’s pupils contracted.
