At the council, the prosecution was brought forward.

As expected, Li Yao and Venina were sentenced to death.

Luo Feng personally escorted them to Australia for execution.

Upon arrival, Li Yao suddenly broke through to the Planetary level and attempted to escape, but Luo Feng still crushed him with overwhelming force. Only then did many people realize that Luo Feng already possessed Planetary-level strength.

Within a few days, he was publicly appointed as a councilor.

Yangzhou City had given birth to its youngest genius—one was the strongest, while the other was a terrifying spiritual reader. For a time, Yangzhou City became the focus of the entire world’s attention.

Qin Ming, however, paid no attention to any of this.

He, Hong, and the Thunder God once again embarked on a journey to measure the earth. Mount Everest, the deepest regions of the ocean, and countless other places all bore the imprint of their footsteps.

Hong advanced to the ninth level of the Planetary rank.

But Qin Ming and the Thunder God could no longer make any further breakthroughs.

The Stellar level was a threshold.

The Thunder God had not the slightest clue how to cross it.

Qin Ming, however, had already touched its edge.

He also set aside time to return to the other world and see how the Jiang family was faring. Whenever nothing was amiss, he entered Jade Spring Manor, sat cross-legged upon the Dao Comprehension Platform, and meditated on the mysteries of domains and the Laws of Space.

Time flowed slowly.

One day, the three of them received a message.

“An Emperor-level life-form has appeared on Mist Island in Australia?” The Thunder God found it unbelievable. “How could an Emperor-level beast be born so easily? We already swept the place clean!”

“Mist Island has given birth to many spirits of plants and vegetation. That was clearly abnormal, but our previous investigation revealed nothing. Afterward, we sent people to remain there and observe.” Hong frowned. “Now another Emperor-level life-form has appeared. There must be some hidden secret we failed to discover.”

“Let’s go take a look!” Qin Ming said. “We can slaughter that Emperor-level beast while we’re there.”

The three made no delay. They boarded a battle aircraft and soared into the sky.

A large number of War Gods and councilors had already gathered outside Mist Island.

Hong was not the only one who sensed that something was wrong. The others felt it as well. Yet because an Emperor-level life-form was present, no one dared enter—not even Luo Feng, who had arrived ahead of them.

When the three arrived, the others respectfully saluted them.

“Which of you two is going down?” Hong asked with a laugh.

“A mere Emperor-level beast is no longer worth mentioning!” the Thunder God declared. “Back then, our third brother slew two Emperors and shook the world. Naturally, this one should be left to him!”

“You’re just being lazy!” Qin Ming said. He did not refuse, however. He went straight to the center of the lake and, without even entering the water, struck downward with a fierce punch.

The punch pierced a hollow through the water and went straight to the lakebed.

In an instant, vast quantities of blood surged upward, spreading throughout the entire lake.

The might of that single punch had no doubt annihilated countless aquatic beasts.

Bang!

The next moment, a tentacle suddenly shot out from below and lashed toward him.

It moved so quickly that some of the War Gods could not even see it clearly.

The tentacle stretched for several thousand meters and was as thick as an ancient tree a thousand years old.

Snap!

Qin Ming reached out and grabbed it. His genetic energy condensed, and he seized the tentacle in midair. With a single swing, he flung the octopus-like monster—whose body was comparable to a small mountain—into the sky.

One man had thrown a mountain.

Even Luo Feng was so shaken by the sight that his mouth fell open.

Qin Ming punched through the air, blasting its head apart.

Then he struck down with his palm, sending the corpse flying to the shore, where it crashed into the ground and left behind a massive crater.

Qin Ming was just about to leave when a vine sprang from the water and stabbed toward his back, sending a chill through his heart. He turned and seized it.

“Come out!”

He already understood what it was. Power surged through his arm as he prepared to pull it free, but several more vines burst out of the water.

Qin Ming smiled faintly. With a tremor of his hand, he transmitted his strength all the way to their roots. The other vines shuddered violently, making it impossible for them to launch another attack.

He exerted his strength and pulled the vine free as well, then tossed it toward Hong in the distance.

“This is an Emperor-level life-form made of vines. It should be valuable for research. Big Brother, I’ll leave it to you!”

“Cloud Contact Vine!” Hong’s eyes lit up, and his heart began to race. He hurriedly transmitted his voice. “Third Brother, this is a rare life-form from the universe. Once properly cultivated, it will become an extremely capable assistant. Third Brother, you should keep it!”

“Big Brother, I’m not interested in this thing.” Qin Ming shook his head.

He knew that this Cloud Contact Vine had been hidden ten thousand meters beneath Mist Island and cultivated by Babata, the intelligent life-form within the universe spacecraft. Part of its potential had already been exhausted, so its growth would be limited.

“Haha, then Big Brother won’t stand on ceremony!”

Hong was overjoyed. After subduing it, he flew directly to an uninhabited area and began making it acknowledge him as its master.

The watching powerhouses were genuinely convinced.

That was an Emperor-level life-form, something they feared like a tiger. Yet Qin Ming had killed and subdued it with ease. No one could imagine how formidable his cultivation had become.

“The Emperor-level life-form has been eliminated. There must be some hidden secret here as well. Go on down!” Qin Ming waved his hand. “Life and death are decreed by fate, while wealth and honor lie in heaven. Whether you obtain a great opportunity or are buried here will depend on your luck!”

Without his permission, no one would truly have dared descend.

The many councilors clasped their hands in salute before flying toward the lake.

For two Emperor-level life-forms to be nurtured in such a short period of time, there was bound to be an unimaginable benefit hidden below.

“You’re not going down?” Qin Ming flew over to the Thunder God and asked with a smile.

“Competing with them would be beneath me!” The Thunder God curled his lips.

“What if there’s a benefit beyond our imagination?”

“As the saying goes, treasures belong to those with virtue.”

“Haha!” Qin Ming burst out laughing. “I knew that was what you were planning!”

“It’s a tax!” the Thunder God said with a sly smile. “Take the students of the Limitless Martial Hall, for example. Whenever they obtain benefits outside, they must offer sixty percent to the martial hall. Why? On the surface, it seems the martial hall hasn’t helped them with anything. But is that really so? No. The martial hall’s training consumes resources—that’s the first point. Second, whenever they travel outside, the martial hall is their greatest backing. Who would dare provoke them? They can also request reinforcements at any time. That is invisible assistance. Therefore, whenever the students of the Limitless Martial Hall gain something, they willingly hand over sixty percent, because they understand that without the martial hall, they would never have had the chance to obtain those benefits. Just look at that time Luo Feng acquired so many spirits of plants and vegetation. If he had not been an elite student of the martial hall, he would have been killed long ago!”

“That makes sense.” Qin Ming nodded. “With powerful backing behind you, everything becomes easier. It may seem useless, but in truth, it is the firmest support and the greatest source of confidence.”

“Exactly. So if there really are treasures worthy of our attention, how could we possibly be left out?” The Thunder God laughed. “If you hadn’t cleared away the obstacles, they could do nothing but stare.”

Beep, beep, beep!

At that moment, Qin Ming’s wristwatch rang. After he answered, Luo Feng’s voice came through.

“Qin Ming, I discovered something strange. An army-commanding octopus monster swallowed a white object, and its aura suddenly surged. Then it exploded.”

“Do you have a picture? Send it over!”

“Got it!”

A moment later, the image was projected in front of Qin Ming.

His brows rose when he saw it, and he immediately said, “Luo Feng, that is a Wood Plant Crystal. It is a cosmic treasure capable of transforming a War God’s physical body to the Planetary level. Search for them. Search everywhere. Search with all your strength. If anyone obstructs you, kill them!”

“Understood!” Luo Feng’s voice trembled.

“A Wood Plant Crystal?” The Thunder God’s heart began to pound as well. He and Hong both knew about such things.

Records of them had been found in the ancient ruins they had excavated.

They were treasures capable of elevating a Planetary-level body.

“There’s no mistake. I even took the time to examine the images at Big Brother’s home back then. Combined with the picture Luo Feng sent and the fact that it caused an army-commanding beast to self-destruct, it is definitely a Wood Plant Crystal,” Qin Ming said. “I’ll notify Big Brother. We’ll go down and search as well!”

“Good!”

The Thunder God could no longer remain calm.

After notifying Hong, the two of them quickly descended into the lake.

Within the water, Qin Ming immediately unfolded his domain.

It was a spatial domain. Unless he actively stimulated it, others could not even sense its presence.

Now that he had reached the ninth level of the Planetary rank, his expanded domain covered an enormous radius of nine thousand meters.

Searching for things within the lake was practically cheating.

Qin Ming’s thoughts, however, were not on the Wood Plant Crystals.

His heart was filled with excitement.

Babata, I’ve finally been waiting for you to appear. After seeing my spatial domain, and then watching me use teleportation, you should find me worthy of attention, shouldn’t you? If you still don’t, then something must be wrong with the universe itself. The inheritance of an Immortal powerhouse—especially the secret techniques of space—is something I must obtain!
