Chapter 108: A Forceful Intervention (Part One)

Fifty miles from the coastline, Qin Ming hovered a hundred meters above the sea.
Beneath him, towering waves crashed, and ferocious sea beasts surged forward. Many, upon spotting him, leaped from the water, jaws agape in a savage attempt to bite.
Qin Ming didn’t spare them a glance. His genetic source energy coursed through him, radiating outward, shaking the attacking beasts dead in midair.
Three kilometers away, a leader-class sea eel hesitated as it saw Qin Ming suspended above, wishing to skirt around him.
But in that instant, a blade of light cleaved through the air, slaying it in the depths below.
In a flash, Qin Ming stepped upon the void, crossing twenty miles in an instant, and with another strike, killed yet another leader-class beast.
To guard the coastal pass, there could be no passage for their leaders.
Yet, the shoreline was too long, the ocean too vast, and the monsters too many. By his strength alone, it was impossible to kill them all; he could only pick out the strongest to slay.
Each time Qin Ming moved, a beast fell.
By now, thunderous artillery erupted from the coastal defense base; a torrent of metal rained down upon the sea.
The great battle had fully ignited.
Similar scenes played out across the globe.
Half an hour later, Qin Ming had slain sixty-eight leader-class sea beasts in total. Deprived of command, the remaining monsters besieging the base lost their cohesion—though numerous, they became disordered, failing to pose a true threat.
Yet his display drew the attention of unseen eyes from the ocean’s depths.
Suddenly, a sea serpent burst forth from the waves. It stretched a thousand meters long, wings sprouting from its back, streaking toward him like a bolt of wind.
“A winged serpent!”
Qin Ming gazed at it, recognized the creature, and met it head-on without hesitation.
A black mist spewed from the serpent’s maw—its venom. Qin Ming twisted away, evading the attack, but before he could close in, the serpent’s tail whipped through the air, aiming for his back.
It was quick—but Qin Ming was quicker.
With a sidestep, he dodged, his blade arcing in a gleaming curve.
A deep gash appeared a third of the way down the serpent’s tail.
For such a massive creature, the wound seemed ghastly, yet for the winged serpent, it was but a minor injury.
“Again!”
Qin Ming, now at planetary level five, far surpassed this king-class beast. Even suppressing his true strength, he moved faster than his foe. He stepped onto the serpent’s body, leaving a bloody crater, and vanished in a blink.
With instantaneous movement, he erupted with speed unrivaled, arriving above the serpent’s head in a flash, cleaving down with his blade.
The serpent’s skull split in two.
“Well struck!”
Qin Ming did not rejoice, but instead shouted, twisting away to dodge the transparent threads shooting toward him.

Not far off, a king-class jellyfish appeared.
Its tentacles—its deadliest weapons.
“Die!”
Qin Ming paid it no heed. Blade in hand, he charged, speed surging to its limit, giving the creature no time to react. His strike parted its body, cleaving through with ease.
With the serpent dead, the jellyfish king was also dismembered.
Ten kilometers away, a king-class mountain whale was approaching, but upon witnessing the carnage, its heart—large as a house—shrank with dread, and it turned to flee.
Its body was enormous, over a thousand meters long. Just turning around sent endless waves rolling across the sea.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Qin Ming, of course, noticed, and pursued through the air.
The mountain whale did not look back, diving toward the deep sea.
There, beneath the waves, was its true battlefield.
Qin Ming descended above the whale, plunging into the water without hesitation.
The whale surged up to counterattack.
Qin Ming laughed coldly. “Domain!”
In an instant, under the pressure of his domain, the mountain whale had no chance to resist. With a single stroke, Qin Ming cleaved it from skull to tail fin, killing it on the spot.
“Xiaoqiang, drag it away!”
He commanded.
An intelligent war drone roared in, seizing the colossal carcass and lifting it skyward, hauling it back to the coastal defense base. By now, the attacking sea beasts had been scattered.
Soldiers atop the fortress walls stared in disbelief at the massive, nearly dismembered mountain whale, then erupted in cheers.
“Well done!” Li Dawei pounded his fist, a smile breaking across his face.
“To think Inspector Qin is this powerful!” Zhou Zhengyong exclaimed.
Moments later, the corpses of the winged serpent and the jellyfish king were also retrieved, the scene broadcast across the world, boosting morale everywhere.
Yet Qin Ming received ominous news.
Moluoka, the Indian delegate, was dead.
Melpus, the European delegate, had fallen.
So quickly—two major delegates slain already.
Qin Ming stood high above, gazing into the deep sea.
For the moment, no more king-class or leader-class beasts appeared; it seemed the enemy had abandoned this base.
Beep, beep, beep!
Upon answering, Hong’s voice came through: “Three king beasts slain—well done!”
“How are you faring?” Qin Ming asked.
“We’ve killed eight in total, and are deliberately keeping our distance from your area,” Hong replied. “According to our scans, several king-class sea beasts are converging on your location—possibly seven or eight. Be extremely careful. If you can’t handle it, pull back for now. I’ll make a show of force in North America and have Thor secretly support you.”
“I know my limits.”

After ending the call, Qin Ming frowned.
“Seven or eight king-class beasts?”
“They’re forcing me to go all out.”
“So be it. I’ll slay them all, and see if I can draw out an emperor-class sea beast!”
He made his decision in an instant.
Planetary level five, spatial domain, clad in the Black God armor, wielding a B1-class war blade—who should he fear? Even an emperor-class monster, he could face head-on.
He waited in silence.
Beep, beep, beep!
The communicator sounded again. Qin Ming answered, “What is it?”
“A storm is brewing; I have a bad feeling,” Li Dawei’s voice came through. “If things go wrong, retreat at once. You are our hope, our future—you must not waste your life here.”
“If I leave, what about you?” Qin Ming countered.
“We one hundred thousand sons have long prepared for sacrifice,” Li Dawei said calmly. “But you are different. The future is shaped by those with the greatest strength, and you may reach the very summit.”
“I know my duty.” Qin Ming ended the call, though his heart was not at ease.
A hundred thousand sons, prepared to die?
The even tone spoke of resignation without regret.
All that remained was an unspoken longing, a deep attachment.
For reasons he could not name, Qin Ming felt a weight upon his heart.
“If you do not retreat, how could I?” He laughed freely, lifted his gaze—and saw six king-class sea beasts already closing in.
“Then let’s have a glorious slaughter!” he cried, his voice echoing across the vast sea.
No longer hiding his strength, his planetary level five power erupted in full.
His speed soared to the limit, tearing the air and leaving a vacuum corridor in his wake. Only after he passed did the thunderous sonic booms follow.
“Die!”
Ahead, a sailfish flew above the waves, surging forward. Though it saw Qin Ming’s assault, it could not react in time.
With a single strike, he split its skull and shattered its brain.
“Kill!”
Qin Ming spat out the word, stepping down atop a great white shark’s head.
Sensing danger, the shark’s tail swept a tidal wave toward him, but it was still a beat too slow. Qin Ming’s blade fell, shattering its scales, cleaving its massive skull in two. Its tail hovered midair for a moment, then fell limply.
