Chapter 57: The Serious Expression on Her Small Face
After quickly helping her register for WeChat, he added her personal account as well. Once he had finished the series of operations, he finally handed the phone back to her.
"Learn to use this first," he instructed, lips pressed together.
She wasn't stupid; the jumble of functions would only take her a little time to master. For now, the most important thing was teaching her how to contact him.
Lin Nanxun took the phone, stared at the screen, and saw that the contact list contained only one entry. Although the profile picture was blank, it bore his real name.
Shen Hanzi.
As she was gazing at the screen, she heard the steady voice of the man beside her.
"Send me a message."
She nodded at his words. This wasn't difficult for her; though she hadn't used WeChat before, she'd once used QQ, so sending messages shouldn't pose much challenge. She tapped on his profile, and sure enough, a chat box appeared. Smiling faintly, she carefully extended her finger and tapped at the screen.
With her left hand still encased in plaster, she could only operate the phone with one finger, which was a bit awkward, but the earnest expression on her small face was unwavering.
As Shen Hanzi looked down and watched her type so carefully, his own phone buzzed.
He reached for it, opened it, and saw the message she had just sent.
—Hello.
Shen Hanzi stared at the screen, his brows drawing together.
He suddenly recalled her serious demeanor as she typed.
So, after all that concentration, those were the only two words she wrote?
Looking at the simple greeting, a smile tugged at his lips despite himself.
At that moment, Lin Nanxun suddenly remembered something and turned to him, her face alight with excitement.
"Bad guy, can I use this to watch TV dramas?"
When she had stayed at her aunt's house, her aunt often watched dramas on her phone.
TV dramas?
Hearing her question, Shen Hanzi was momentarily stunned, remembering the show she watched in the hospital.
His handsome face shifted, darkening slightly.
"No," he said sternly.
Hearing this, Lin Nanxun was a little disappointed.
A large hand suddenly reached over, took her phone, opened it, and deleted or hid all the video apps, then returned it to her without expression.
Lin Nanxun didn't notice anything unusual; she simply kept fiddling with the phone, curiosity leading her to explore all the unfamiliar functions.
Before long, the car arrived at GX Group.
Lin Nanxun followed Shen Hanzi out of the car and was led to his office.
"Don't wander around while I'm gone," Shen Hanzi instructed, his face serious as he prepared to leave.
Lin Nanxun hugged her phone and nodded obediently.
"I'll stay right here and won't go anywhere."
Seeing her promise, Shen Hanzi finally turned and left.
Lin Nanxun sat quietly on the office sofa, waiting patiently, but eventually couldn't resist taking out the phone the bad guy had just bought her.
Since she didn't know how to download apps yet, there weren't many on the phone, and with all the video apps deleted, there was little left to amuse herself. Before long, boredom crept in.
The bad guy seemed very busy; he'd been gone a long time.
Unable to help herself, she opened WeChat, tapped on her sole contact, carefully typed out her message letter by letter, and pressed send.
