“Something’s wrong! Sir, she’s gone!” Aunt Xu rushed over, her face full of anxiety, shouting as she hurried along.

Shen Han paused in his stride, glanced at his own bedroom door, and a hint of embarrassment flickered across his handsome face.

“Who’s gone? The girl from yesterday?” Zhou Bei, standing nearby, was startled and quickly asked.

Aunt Xu nodded.

“Yes, last night I specifically told her not to wander off, so why isn’t she in her room now? Could something have happened?” Aunt Xu replied, nodding anxiously.

“I’ll send someone to look for her immediately,” Zhou Bei said, already turning to call for help, but Shen Han stopped him.

“No need.”

“But…”

“Do you intend to make me late?” Shen Han narrowed his eyes, his expression stern.

Zhou Bei fell silent for two seconds, then quickly nodded.

“I understand.”

Without another word, Shen Han descended the stairs, Zhou Bei following after him.

Once the two men had left, Aunt Xu let out a long sigh. Left with no other choice, she turned to arrange for people to search the other rooms once more.

In the spacious bedroom, sounds from outside—footsteps and voices mingling—stirred the girl sleeping soundly on the bed. She slowly awoke, opened her eyes, and found herself in an unfamiliar room. Only then did she recall that yesterday, she had slept with that villain.

Thinking about it, she instinctively tightened her grip on the object in her hands, hugging it closer. Looking down, she saw it was a white bathrobe.

She stared at the bathrobe in her arms for a moment, then lowered her head and sniffed it gently… The robe carried a faint tea scent.

It was exactly the same as the scent on the villain, making her feel inexplicably safe.

Lin Nanxun kept her head down and inhaled the bathrobe’s scent deeply several times, then, satisfied, lay back down.

Just as she was about to go back to sleep, voices sounded again at the door.

“Aunt Xu, we’ve searched everywhere. Only… sir’s room is left… Do you think she could be…” a servant’s voice came from outside.

“Impossible. Sir just left. Have someone search downstairs again, and check the corners of the courtyard!” Aunt Xu’s voice followed closely.

Having spent much of last night with Aunt Xu, Lin Nanxun was already familiar with her voice. Hearing her speak, she hurried out of bed and made her way to the door.

At that moment, just as Aunt Xu was about to search other parts of the courtyard…

The bedroom door behind her suddenly swung open. A girl with long hair and a clean, beautiful face emerged, rubbing her eyes with one hand, clutching a white bathrobe in the other.

“My goodness!” Aunt Xu exclaimed as she turned, her face paling in shock at the sight.

Her reaction confused Lin Nanxun, who blinked her bright eyes, looking at her curiously.

“When did you come in here?” Aunt Xu hurriedly asked.

Why was she in sir’s room…

“Last…” Lin Nanxun began to answer, only to be pulled out from the doorway by Aunt Xu.

“Thank goodness sir has already left, otherwise you’d surely be punished!” Aunt Xu sighed in relief, genuinely grateful.

Had sir seen her inside his room, he would’ve been furious.

Hearing this, Lin Nanxun was a little stunned.

Was the “sir” Aunt Xu referred to that villain?
