Chapter 106: Absolutely Unparalleled!
In the audience below the stage, many distinguished guests were seated, along with members of the media wielding heavy cameras. The atmosphere was lively and bustling.
Lin Nanxun followed Ye Ning to a quiet corner, watching intently. She had never witnessed such a scene before and was completely absorbed. The show continued until the models finished their presentations, and Qiao Yufei appeared on the runway, wearing an exquisite evening gown and dazzling jewelry, her smile radiant.
"She's so beautiful..." Xiao Qi, a colleague from the studio, stared at Qiao Yufei, eyes wide with admiration.
Lin Nanxun watched the stage quietly, saying nothing.
"Hopeless romantic!" Ye Ning rolled her eyes at Xiao Qi.
After Qiao Yufei took her place, the grand finale began: the brand ambassador, Qiao Yucheng, made his entrance alongside the meticulously groomed designer, Luo En. Qiao Yucheng wore KS-brand watches and necklaces, walking with Luo En and offering the cameras a charming smile.
Cheers erupted from the crowd.
"He's so handsome!" Ye Ning exclaimed beside Lin Nanxun.
Hearing Ye Ning, Lin Nanxun nodded in agreement. "The bearded guy looks energetic today."
The bearded man had styled his hair neatly and donned a suit similar to the one worn by the villain, looking much sharper than usual.
Lin Nanxun’s comment left Ye Ning speechless for a moment, then she protested, "I meant Qiao Yucheng. Look, our boss stands next to him and suddenly seems like an old-timer!"
Qiao Yucheng was dazzling—not only was he gentle in private, but on stage, he was the epitome of suave charm. With such charisma, no woman could resist him. It was no wonder he was so popular—he was truly exceptional.
Lin Nanxun, hearing Ye Ning’s words, paused and glanced sympathetically at the smiling bearded man on stage, realizing Ye Ning had a point.
The bearded man really was at a disadvantage.
After the final round of new product displays, the earlier models returned to the stage for group photos. Qiao Yufei naturally stood beside Qiao Yucheng, her face alight with happiness.
The media snapped frantically at the group, capturing every moment of the rumored couples. The scene grew even more spirited.
Next came the media interview segment. The bearded man hurried about, guiding the celebrities in dealing with reporters, while Ye Ning was busy networking with journalists.
Lin Nanxun slipped out of the venue, cradling her milk tea.
...
Inside the lounge, Shen Hanzhi reclined on the sofa, checking emails on his laptop while monitoring the live broadcast of the event on the room’s television.
"Miss Qiao, you can't go in," Zhou Bei’s voice suddenly sounded from outside the door.
Shen Hanzhi frowned.
...
Outside, Qiao Yumeng was stopped by Zhou Bei. She wore a black, low-cut gown, and though her makeup looked simple, every detail had been meticulously crafted.
"I am Hanzhi's fiancée. Are you going to stop me as well?" Qiao Yumeng looked at Zhou Bei with dissatisfaction.
To her, Zhou Bei was merely Shen Hanzhi’s lackey, yet he always had the nerve to block her path.
"Miss Qiao, that’s the boss’s instruction. He’s resting and doesn’t wish to be disturbed," Zhou Bei replied, his tone formal and robotic, his head bowed.
Qiao Yumeng smiled at his words.
"I’m here to see my fiancé—how could that possibly be a disturbance?"
"There are many reporters outside right now. You wouldn’t want me to attract them all, would you?"
Shen Hanzhi had always disliked being exposed to the scrutiny of journalists, and she knew this well, which is precisely why she said it.
