Shen Tingting was filled with disbelief. “Just try touching me if you dare! I’ll post this online and expose all of you!”

However, no one paid the slightest attention to her threats. A group of security guards simply seized the three of them and tossed them out!

People passing by witnessed the scene and their faces brimmed with curiosity and gossip. Some even pulled out their phones to record.

Shen Tingting immediately lowered her head and hurried away.

That wretched Shen Chutang—she would remember this grudge!

Jin Jiawei couldn’t help but ask, “What on earth just happened?”

Shen Tingting’s eyes were brimming with malice. “It has to be that little tramp from the Shi family stirring things up. Shen Chutang must be kept by Shi Shaoxun, otherwise why would the Shi family be so protective of her?”

Tian Xiaowei nodded in agreement at once. “You’re absolutely right—it had to be her!”

Consumed by fury, Shen Tingting continued, “And that West Hill Villa she lives in now, she must have gotten it by seducing someone from the Shi family. With her abilities, there’s no way she could afford such a luxurious home!”

Jin Jiawei chimed in, “Don’t be angry. Just look at Shen Chutang flaunting herself now. Who knows how pathetically she grovels like a dog in front of Shi Shaoxun?”

“Exactly. Shi Shaoxun must just be toying with her; he’ll get tired of her eventually!”

“Right, right. That teaching position Shen Chutang holds now must have been arranged by the Shi family—she definitely got in through the back door!”

Shen Tingting gnashed her teeth in rage. “I have to find a way to make sure Shen Chutang can never lord it over me again!”

Jin Jiawei’s eyes lit up. “I have an idea.”

After the mall’s general manager apologized to Shen Chutang, he presented her with a mall black card—a privilege reserved for their most esteemed guests.

From then on, as long as she presented this card at the mall, she would enjoy the highest level of service and never encounter a situation like earlier.

Shen Chutang handed the card to Shi Hanhang. “Here, you take it.”

Shi Hanhang shook her head immediately. “Sister Chutang, I don’t need it—I already have one. Besides, this card is non-transferable; even if you gave it to me, it wouldn’t work.”

Looking at the black card in her hand, Shen Chutang saw that it was indeed for personal use only, with her own name printed on it.

Since that was the case, she decided to keep it. After all, she was quite fond of this mall.

Shi Hanhang secretly glanced at the card. Wasn’t this the same one her brother had shamelessly begged Brother Bei Qin for when the mall first opened? There wasn’t a second card like it in all of the capital.

She hadn’t expected Brother Bei Qin to hand it to Sister Chutang so readily.

Now that those troublesome people were gone, Shi Hanhang and Shen Chutang enjoyed a smooth and pleasant shopping trip. With the black card in hand, Shen Chutang quickly realized its true value.

Everyone treated her with utmost respect. She received VIP service everywhere—complimentary drinks and refreshments, and even at restaurants, she was treated to free beverages and desserts. Dining bills were discounted to a tenth of the original price!

Shen Chutang immediately tucked the black card safely into her bag. The mall director truly understood how to conduct himself—she genuinely liked this kind of black card.

The two of them, satisfied from food and drink, finally got up to leave.

Shi Hanhang, having bought plenty of clothes, was in high spirits. “Sister Chutang, I promised to treat you to a meal, but I didn’t expect you’d end up treating me instead.”

Shen Chutang laughed. “Well, it’d be a waste not to use the black card.”

Shi Hanhang nodded. “Next time, when we eat out, I’ll treat you again.”

“All right.”

After watching Shi Hanhang get into her car, Shen Chutang was just about to hail a taxi when a car pulled up in front of her.

She opened the door, got in, and gave the address. The driver stepped on the accelerator and the car sped away.

Shen Chutang’s phone vibrated. She checked it—it was a message from Lu Beiqin: “When are you coming back? I’ll pick you up.”

She replied, “No need, I’m already in a car and should be there soon. I thought you’d be busy today, so I didn’t ask you to pick me up.”

A few seconds later, Lu Beiqin responded, “You can always contact me when you’re coming home. It’s no trouble for me to pick you up.”

“Okay.”

She set down her phone and glanced outside, only to realize the road looked unfamiliar.

She looked at the driver. “Excuse me, isn’t this the way to West Hill Villa?”

The driver was wearing a baseball cap pulled low and a mask that barely concealed his face. At her question, he replied, “This is the right way; there’s construction on the other route.”

Shen Chutang was only half convinced. It’s always wise to be cautious, she thought, and sent the route to Lu Beiqin: “Does this road lead home?”

“No, why do you ask?”

She curved her lips in a faint smile: “I got into an unlicensed car.”

Lu Beiqin replied quickly: “Send me your location.”

The car sped down the road toward the outskirts, growing more and more desolate by the minute. Shen Chutang decided to test things. “Excuse me, please stop the car.”

“We’re not there yet. Can’t stop here,” the driver answered.

Shen Chutang feigned innocence and cheerfulness. “Is that so? But this doesn’t look like the way home at all.”

A lecherous smile crept beneath the driver’s mask as he ogled Shen Chutang through the rearview mirror. “We’ll be there soon.”
