Chapter 100: What the Hell Do You Think You Are?

The text messages and call logs showed nothing unusual, but the records could have been deleted by the other side.

Lu Beiqin had clearly said he would come pick her up today, yet he still had not arrived.

Shen Chutang took a device from her bag, plugged it into her phone, and after a quick flurry of操作, the deleted data was soon restored.

Lu Beiqin had originally planned to pick up Shen Chutang, but unexpectedly she sent him a message telling him to come to the club instead.

When he arrived, a server immediately came over. “Sir, do you have a reservation?”

Lu Beiqin said coldly, “I’m here to see someone.”

After he gave the room number, he was quickly led inside.

When he pushed the door open, he found a group of women sitting inside. He swept his gaze across them one by one, but Shen Chutang was nowhere to be seen.

One of the women spotted Lu Beiqin and exclaimed, “Duoduo, so this is your boyfriend? He’s even more handsome than in the photo!”

“So handsome! Duoduo, if you ever don’t want him anymore, remember to pass him to me!”

“Duoduo, have you two done it yet? How is he?”

Shen Duoduo was thoroughly enjoying the feeling of being surrounded by people, and said with feigned reserve, “He only has eyes for me every day; he can’t leave me alone. I’m the one who’s getting annoyed.”

Lu Beiqin said coldly, “Where is Shen Chutang?”

Shen Duoduo was dressed very provocatively today, in a black tube top paired with hot pants. Her well-shaped figure was impossible to ignore. She swayed up to Lu Beiqin, reaching out as if to wrap her arms around his neck, but he took a step back and avoided her.

“Lu Beiqin, I’m sure you’ve never been to a place like this before. Today I can treat you to drinks here.”

Lu Beiqin knew the message definitely had not been sent by Shen Chutang. Turning, he was about to leave and had just taken out his phone to call her when Shen Duoduo caught his arm and stopped him.

“Why are you in such a hurry to call her? It’s perfectly normal for a grown man to come here and have some fun. What, are you afraid Shen Chutang will get mad at you?”

Shen Duoduo smiled seductively, her voice soft. “There are so many people here tonight. Don’t you want to have a little fun too?”

The woman’s meaning was already very clear.

Shen Duoduo was full of confidence. After all, what man did not like to play?

She had money, she had looks, and with so many women in one room, any man would go crazy at the sight.

But Lu Beiqin only coldly shook off her arm and continued toward the exit.

“Lu Beiqin!”

Shen Duoduo could not keep up the pretense any longer. She had already said so much, and yet this man was still so unappreciative!

The few women behind her were already whispering among themselves.

“Strange, didn’t Shen Duoduo say this man was her boyfriend? He doesn’t really look like it.”

“Someone in the group said that not long ago, didn’t they? It’s very possible Shen Duoduo is the one who’s reading too much into it.”

“It is really strange. Why does this guy keep such a cold face? It’s more like Shen Duoduo is flattering someone who wants nothing to do with her.”

Hearing the murmurs behind her, Shen Duoduo’s expression turned ugly as well. Looking at Lu Beiqin’s face, she felt a surge of displeasure and pulled a thick wad of hundred-dollar bills from her pocket, waving it in her hand.

“I know you probably couldn’t earn this much in a whole week. As long as you behave tonight, this money is yours.”

Lu Beiqin looked at the woman before him with frosty eyes. “Who do you think you are, to order me around?”

Shen Duoduo froze, then her face flushed red with anger and humiliation.

“Lu Beiqin, don’t be so ungrateful. For a lousy driver like you, I haven’t even looked down on you yet. What are you being so smug about?”

“I’m telling you, if you don’t finish that bottle of liquor today, don’t even think about walking out of this place!”

Lu Beiqin’s expression was cold. Just as he was about to speak, a familiar voice came from behind him.

“Who dares stop my Bei?”

Lu Beiqin froze for a moment. It took him quite a while to realize that the Bei she was calling was him.

Shen Chutang walked over to Lu Beiqin, naturally hooking her arm through his. She lifted her eyelids and glanced at Shen Duoduo, her eyes filled with unmistakable disdain.

“Shen Duoduo, and you still have money to eat, drink, and amuse yourself here? Didn’t your parents fail in business and even try to seize someone else’s property for your son’s school district apartment?”

“Do they know you’re squandering money out here?”

“And he is my man. I hope you understand that. Don’t use those low-grade tricks to lure people out. Have you no sense of your own worth?”

Shen Duoduo was shaking all over with rage. “What did you say!”

“If you want to hear more, I don’t mind saying a bit more.”

Shen Chutang linked her arm with Lu Beiqin’s and said, “Let’s go. Don’t waste time here.”

Lu Beiqin’s expression eased slightly. “All right.”

Just as Shen Chutang was about to leave with him, Shen Duoduo was naturally unwilling to let it go.

“Lu Beiqin, are you really going to stay with this kind of woman?

“She has no money, no connections, and even the West Mountain Villa where you live is nothing more than a reward she got for letting others toy with her body. A shameless tramp with no education, beyond being pretty—are you really going to let her put a green hat on you!”
