Is this all you’re capable of?

Jin Changming was no stranger to mutants; he had even slain several second-tier ones. Yet he had never encountered a creature so terrifying as this.

“President, and that armored vehicle! They’re the ones who lured the monster here,” someone shouted, pointing at the armored vehicle stopped in the middle of the complex.

Only then did Jin Changming realize another armored vehicle had broken in.

“You all, lead the monster toward the garden. I’ll deal with the armored car!” Jin Changming issued his orders to those around him.

At this moment, all several dozen members of the Red Flower Society had rushed out. When they heard they had to confront the green monster, each of their faces turned ashen, as if they’d lost their mothers. Was a monster like that something they could handle?

But the president’s orders could not be defied! Otherwise, their deaths would be just as miserable—perhaps being eaten by the monster would be preferable.

“Be careful, that guy has powers too! Somehow, he can make things explode!” Tang Qiqiang, inside the vehicle, immediately warned as he saw Jin Changming charging toward them.

Explosions?

“Let’s see him try,” Xue Feng replied with interest. He was curious—what exactly was Jin Changming’s ability?

Boom! Bang!

Just then, the sound of an explosion rang out from outside, right beside the armored vehicle.

Inside, Xue Feng and the others merely felt the vehicle give a slight shudder. There had indeed been an explosion, but it hadn’t damaged the armored car in the slightest. After all, this was a doomsday armored vehicle, built entirely from special alloy, with its very tires encased in armor.

“That’s it?” Xue Feng couldn’t help but laugh. The force was probably no more than a regular hand grenade.

A hand grenade’s power was already significant. In the apocalypse, such destructive force could handle ordinary mutants, perhaps even second-tier ones. But before the doomsday armored car, it was nothing.

Just as Xue Feng was mocking, something was thrown onto the front windshield—a stone.

“Ha, do the Red Flower Society people really think they can smash the windshield?” someone in the car sneered.

Even without knowing the origin of Xue Feng’s vehicle, anyone could guess—the windshield had to be bulletproof glass, not so easily damaged.

But what happened next left everyone stunned.

A burst of fire erupted from the stone.

That stone actually exploded violently.

Boom!

Another deafening blast erupted, dust flying everywhere. The glass didn’t shatter, but it was now covered in debris and dirt.

“How can that be! How could an ordinary stone explode?” Tang Qiqiang stared wide-eyed in disbelief. They’d all seen it clearly—just a river stone.

“An interesting ability. I’ll go take a look,” Xue Feng said, now having a rough idea of the Red Flower Society president’s power—he could likely turn objects he touched into bombs!

No wonder he could become president—he truly had ability.

As Xue Feng opened the car door and stepped out, Tang Qiqiang also wanted to follow. After all, they were now allies.

“Boss, don’t go out there; isn’t it safer in the car?”

“Yeah, boss, your power isn’t much use anyway; you’d just be a burden.”

“No need for Brother Xue Feng to have to protect us.”

The others hurriedly tried to dissuade him.

Tang Qiqiang paused awkwardly, his hand on the door handle. It was true—he really wouldn’t be much help. But after a moment’s hesitation, he pushed open the door anyway.

“You’ve seen how capable Xue Feng is. I plan to stick with him from now on! We can’t afford to be afraid!” Tang Qiqiang said in a deep voice.

In the apocalypse, to survive, you had to prove your worth.

“Boss, we were being foolish. Let’s go together!” The others recalled Xue Feng’s words and quickly grabbed their weapons from inside the vehicle—each took a rifle and several grenades.

Seeing Tang Qiqiang and the others get out of the car, Xue Feng was a little surprised. The safest place right now was inside, yet these men were still willing to come out. It showed their loyalty—they weren’t just hiding.

“Who are you? Are you the one they brought as backup?” Jin Changming fixed his gaze on Xue Feng as he stepped out of the armored car.

Getting out from the driver’s seat made it clear—Xue Feng was the one driving, and this unusual vehicle belonged to him. As for Tang Qiqiang and the others, Jin Changming didn’t give them a second glance; in his eyes, they were insignificant.

But upon seeing Jin Changming again, Tang Qiqiang’s eyes blazed with fury. It was Jin Changming who had once infiltrated their base with some men, and while Tang Qiqiang was away, had caused the deaths of many.

Now, Tang Qiqiang could hardly resist the urge to blow Jin Changming’s head off with his rifle. But he forced down his rage; he’d already decided to follow Xue Feng’s lead.

“Your daddy,” Xue Feng replied with a cold sneer.

“Damn you, courting death!” Jin Changming was furious. Since Xue Feng had no sense of self-preservation, he’d send him to hell.

A stone hurtled fiercely toward Xue Feng.

“Heaven’s Wrath!” Xue Feng immediately unleashed his power. A bolt of lightning as thick as a finger struck the stone in midair.

Boom!

The stone exploded before it even touched the ground.

“You’re a power user too!” Jin Changming’s expression changed. It seemed Xue Feng could control lightning.

“That’s right. I advise you to surrender now and tell us everything you know. I’ll grant you a quick death.” Xue Feng took a step forward.

He had no intention of killing Jin Changming outright. He planned to capture the president alive—someone with so many subordinates was bound to know plenty of valuable information.

“Heh, dream on. See how you handle this!” Jin Changming’s face twisted with malice. He pulled more than a dozen objects from his pocket.

Xue Feng glanced at them from the corner of his eye and paused. They were crystal cores—the kind typically found in the brains of ordinary zombies.

“You all, fall back! Take cover behind the armored car!” Xue Feng shouted.

Tang Qiqiang and his companions knew Jin Changming wasn’t bluffing, so they all dove behind the armored car, the best cover available.

But then they saw that Xue Feng remained motionless, still standing in place.

In the next instant, the dozen or so crystal cores flew toward Xue Feng in a single volley. Though there were dozens of meters between them, Jin Changming hurled them with speed and precision—it was clear he wasn’t relying on arm strength alone, but was using his powers as well.

Faced with so many bombs, Xue Feng stomped the ground hard and instantly leapt a great distance, choosing to dodge altogether.
