Chapter 47: Women with Their Own Secrets
If anyone were to see Nie Xiaoyue’s face now, they would surely believe that Xue Feng behind her was a devil, tormenting her mercilessly—unaware that this was exactly what Nie Xiaoyue longed for, a complete indulgence in pleasure and abandon.
It lasted for over an hour. At last, with a low growl, Xue Feng gripped Nie Xiaoyue’s arm fiercely, pulled her upright, and gave her the deepest satisfaction. She felt as if she were floating on clouds, overcome with bliss. Afterwards, she collapsed onto the table, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
Gazing at Nie Xiaoyue’s sweat-drenched face, Xue Feng allowed himself a slight smile, knowing that she would be unable to walk on her own for some time. So he scooped her up in his arms and carried her back to the bedroom.
But inside the bedroom, the others were already waiting. Each had put on the most seductive outfit they could find, all vying for the chance to be favored that night. Zhao Weisuo, for instance, wore nothing at all. Even Gu Xiaoqian had prepared to rest in the bedroom, not wanting to miss a single opportunity to sleep alongside Xue Feng, though she was willing to take on extra chores during the day.
When they saw Nie Xiaoyue’s face, radiant with happiness, their eyes brimmed with jealousy. To have spent over an hour alone with Xue Feng in the basement was surely the happiest time imaginable.
Xue Feng found the scene both amusing and exasperating. He hadn’t thought much of it before, but now that so many people crowded into one room, it felt rather improper.
“There are plenty of rooms in the villa. Starting tonight, why don’t you all sleep in your own rooms?” Xue Feng said.
In fact, each of them had a room of their own in the villa, for storing personal belongings and the like. Somehow, over time, they had all ended up in Xue Feng’s bed.
At his words, they exchanged glances.
“All right, Xue Feng, rest well tonight,” An Xiaowei was the first to rise, twisting her body as she left the room.
Once An Xiaowei had gone, the others also bid their farewells one by one, until only Nie Xiaoyue remained, tossed onto the bed by Xue Feng. Watching her rivals depart one after another, joy blossomed on her face. At least for tonight, she had won.
Unfortunately, she was too exhausted for another round—completely satisfied, for now.
But to her surprise, only a few minutes after the lights went out, the door creaked open.
A zombie? An intruder? Of course not.
The light, tiptoeing steps made it clear—it was An Xiaowei.
“Xue Feng, I’m scared to sleep alone. Can I sleep with you?” An Xiaowei’s voice sent shivers down one’s spine.
Nie Xiaoyue scoffed inwardly. Scared? She remembered well how, the first time she saw An Xiaowei smash a zombie’s skull, she’d been stunned—a girl could be so decisive, so fearless even in the face of zombies. And now she claimed to be afraid of sleeping alone? As if.
Nie Xiaoyue pursed her lips.
“Come on up,” Xue Feng said with a helpless smile. He understood all too well why An Xiaowei had left first, without a hint of reluctance—she’d planned this from the start, a classic feint.
“Thank you, Xue Feng!” Overjoyed, An Xiaowei dove under the covers, nestling herself on one side of Xue Feng, Nie Xiaoyue on the other.
Xue Feng could feel the heat radiating from the two bodies beside him, and An Xiaowei’s hands were anything but well-behaved, wandering wherever they pleased.
Just then, the door opened again.
Wang Xinyu entered.
Tonight was her chance, Wang Xinyu thought, to deepen her feelings with Xue Feng. Nie Xiaoyue was already too exhausted to compete—this was her moment to press her advantage. She and Xue Feng had been each other’s first love, separated by fate, a memory Wang Xinyu could never quite let go.
“What are you doing here?” An Xiaowei complained, having thought she would be the only one bold enough to sneak in—she hadn’t expected Wang Xinyu to slip in as well.
Wang Xinyu paused, surprised to see An Xiaowei already present. “Why can’t I be here?” she retorted, straightening up—she was no less than An Xiaowei.
An Xiaowei had no answer; after all, she herself had snuck in.
“All right, since you’re here, let’s all rest together,” Xue Feng said with a self-deprecating smile. The rule he’d set for the night had already been broken.
As Wang Xinyu climbed onto the bed, there were now four of them—no different from before.
Sure enough, seconds later, Zhao Weisuo arrived.
Zhao Weisuo hadn’t intended to come; she obeyed Xue Feng’s orders without question, as one could tell from the way she always addressed him formally—and Gu Xiaoqian had even started doing the same.
But Zhao Weisuo was an enhanced being; her senses were sharper. She’d heard footsteps in the corridor from her room, and there was no doubt where they were headed. She couldn’t pretend not to notice—she had to come as well.
Xue Feng could only lift the covers and let Zhao Weisuo in.
Soon, You Haoyun showed up too. She’d planned to visit An Xiaowei’s room for a chat. With the number of women in the villa increasing, You Haoyun felt threatened. The person she knew best was An Xiaowei, who had taught her so much about survival in this apocalypse. It seemed wise to form an alliance with her to face the challenges from the others. But An Xiaowei was nowhere to be found—so You Haoyun realized she must have slipped into Xue Feng’s room, and quickly followed.
“Now we’re just missing Gu Xiaoqian, aren’t we?” You Haoyun remarked, noticing that only Gu Xiaoqian was absent.
“She’s new—do you think she’ll dare to come?” Nie Xiaoyue doubted it; in her view, the rest of them were the veterans, and Gu Xiaoqian, having arrived last, should be at the end of the line—seniority must be maintained.
“Why wouldn’t she dare? Did you see how short her skirt was today?” Zhao Weisuo muttered. As a teacher, she thought any woman bold enough to wear such a short skirt must be wanton.
Of course, Zhao Weisuo didn’t know that Xue Feng had picked out that skirt for Gu Xiaoqian himself, and had watched her change into it.
“Let’s make a bet—will Gu Xiaoqian come or not?”
“All right. Whoever loses tomorrow has to spend the entire day without clothes!”
“Deal!” The women were immediately intrigued.
Except for Nie Xiaoyue, all believed Gu Xiaoqian would certainly come.
“Why are you all so sure she’ll show up?” Nie Xiaoyue exclaimed.
“She’s not one to admit defeat—she worked really hard today,” You Haoyun replied, recalling how diligently Gu Xiaoqian had installed water purifiers and organized supplies. A woman that determined to secure her place by Xue Feng’s side would never let this opportunity slip by.
“Hmph! We’ll see. Tomorrow, either you’ll all be naked, or I will!” Nie Xiaoyue pouted, convinced that, as a PhD, she couldn’t possibly lose.
At that moment, the door began to open quietly.
