Xue Feng was an honest man. When he said he’d teach everything he knew, he truly left nothing out.

But compared to him, the others weren’t much better off.

When dawn broke the next day, Xue Feng looked at the few exhausted souls still lost in sleep and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

He had to admit, the new gear An Xiaowei and Wang Xinyu had chosen was precisely to his taste—stockings that reached above the knee, boosting both attack speed and critical hit rate. He’d never seen anything like it.

After a night of fierce battles, these few were practically dismantled by Xue Feng’s relentless energy. Though awake now, the very thought of last night’s intensity left them all a bit fearful.

Especially Nie Xiaoyue. At this moment, she lay curled like a shrimp, her entire body flushed crimson. She’d barely eaten the night before, her mind weighed down with worry. Now, after losing at least 2000cc of fluids, she was limp as clay, easy prey for Xue Feng’s whims.

Her long, upturned eyes stared at the ceiling, unfocused, lost in some unknown thought. She would twitch, utter a soft whimper, then twitch again, another faint sound escaping her lips.

Regret filled her heart. Why, oh why, had she ever bothered to study biology? Now she was paying the price!

“I’ll go back to my room first...” Propping herself up on aching limbs, Nie Xiaoyue crawled out of bed. She wasn’t as uninhibited as the others. Now that daylight had broken, she just couldn’t handle such naked honesty.

Most important of all, she feared that Xue Feng might not have had his fill last night and would pull her in for a morning session—she would truly be ruined!

She hastily wrapped herself in clothes and limped out of the room. Watching her, Xue Feng suddenly felt a stab of pity.

Compared to An Xiaowei and the rest, Nie Xiaoyue was far too inexperienced in such matters. Her approach was simply to lie down, bury her face, and let out the occasional whimper, leaving everything else to fate.

In fact, beyond biology, Xue Feng had even given her a yoga lesson last night. Unfortunately, she was not a diligent student, nor a gifted one. Stiff as steel, it had taken Xue Feng considerable effort just to get her to cooperate.

“Forget it. I’ll have An Xiaowei teach her some yoga techniques when I’m not around,” he thought.

Shaking off these musings, Xue Feng turned to the intelligence freshly updated for the day.

1. At location 8927 in the northeast, there is an abandoned waterworks. Many filtration systems lie unused there. The host may proceed to collect them.

2. The waterworks is sealed off. The zombies inside have been soaking in blood for a long time; some mutants have already evolved to level 2. The host should be cautious.

3. The plant’s “belle” is hiding in the office. She hasn’t eaten for days and is close to fainting. The host may use food to lure her, break her psychological defenses, and bring her into the fold. She is the facility’s administrator, skilled at organization, and can be appointed as housekeeper.

...A water purification system?

Seeing the newly refreshed intel, Xue Feng was overjoyed—finally, the wait was over!

These past few days, to conserve water, they’d barely washed at all. Luckily, their electricity supply was ample, so the air conditioning ran nonstop, keeping everyone from sweating much except during nightly battles.

But going to bed without a shower was still uncomfortable. Now, with access to a purification system, if he could turn the blood-rain-polluted water into clean water, their water woes would be solved.

“We set out today!” Xue Feng immediately jotted down the water purification system as today’s top priority.

Then came the second piece of intelligence. Xue Feng glanced over it, a bit surprised. “Level 2 mutants? These zombies are evolving so quickly?”

It had been less than a week since the blood rain began. Not only had mutants appeared, but now there were already level 2 mutants?

Still, Xue Feng had nothing to fear. He could already crush ordinary mutants with ease. Even if a level 2 mutant’s strength doubled, it would still be within his control—especially with the powerful Black Panther at his side.

So there was no need for concern on that front. What intrigued him was the thought of the mutated crystals from level 2 mutants—would they be larger? Should he feed them to his dog, or let Nie Xiaoyue use them for research?

“I’m getting ahead of myself. Best to handle today’s tasks first.”

Finally, he turned to the last point.

“The plant’s administrator?”

According to the intelligence, she was already faint with hunger. A little food would likely win her over. If he could rescue her... If she was a person of conscience, she surely wouldn’t turn on her savior.

Besides, with more people arriving at the villa every day, it was getting hard for Xue Feng to manage everything. He could sense that as his power grew, the population of the villa would only increase. If he could recruit someone skilled in personnel management, it would ease his burden considerably.

“No time to lose—let’s set out at once.”

With that, Xue Feng got up, washed quickly, and began organizing the day’s agenda. After all, this would be his first encounter with a level 2 mutant—there was some danger involved.

He decided not to bring the others along.

He shook awake Zhao Weisuo, still dozing.

“What kind of food can you make right now? I mean, the kind that boosts physical abilities?”

“I can do them all,” Zhao Weisuo replied confidently. “Strength-boosting, speed-enhancing, agility-increasing... I can even combine all three into one, though it’ll cost more materials and the effects will be a bit weaker overall.”

She watched to see which option Xue Feng would choose.

But he simply waved his hand. “I want them all.”

“That’ll take a lot of ingredients...” she murmured.

But before she could finish, she remembered—they weren’t lacking for anything now!

So she dove into the kitchen and began preparing food.

With her powers and abundant ingredients, the food was ready in no time. She packed it into a small bundle and handed it to Xue Feng.

“I’ve labeled the effects on each item. You can eat them without worry.”

“Good.” Xue Feng accepted the bundle and stored it away.

“All right, get some rest.”

Making so much powered food had drained her considerably.

Next, Xue Feng assigned tasks to the other four for the day. The shelter was strong, but there was still room for improvement—especially now that mutants were evolving. Upgrading the shelter had to be a priority.

“Don’t worry, brother! We’ll definitely finish today’s tasks!” An Xiaowei promised, her confidence shining.

Xue Feng smiled gently. “There’s one more task for you all.”

The four pricked up their ears, eager.

He said slowly, “Tonight, I want all of you washed clean and waiting for me.”

“Huh?” They stared, dumbfounded.

Before they could respond, Xue Feng took Black Panther by the leash, climbed into the armored vehicle, and floored the accelerator.

Destination: waterworks!
