Along the way, he casually dealt with several zombies.

Xue Feng didn’t pause, heading straight to Xin Fang Hospital.

By now, the entrance was swarming with zombies. Most were patients who hadn’t escaped before the apocalypse struck, bitten and transformed by the incoming dead.

The moment the armored vehicle appeared, their hungry eyes shifted toward him, greed flickering in their chaotic gaze.

Xue Feng’s expression remained indifferent as he stepped down from the vehicle. He raised his hand, and a bolt of divine lightning surged forth.

A sharp burst echoed—electricity struck the zombies and exploded in a flash.

The acrid scent of charred flesh filled the air.

Unmoved, Xue Feng advanced, unleashing divine lightning with each step, swiftly clearing a path.

He entered the hospital.

He opened a room at random; inside, shelves were packed with medicines.

He glanced over them—recognized every single one.

“Forget it, I’ll take them all.”

Soon, he emptied the room, stuffing every kind of unfamiliar drug into his storage space.

He opened another door—more medicines, packed to the brim.

Before long, Xue Feng had swept the entire ground floor clean.

He approached the route map pinned to the wall.

“Doctor’s office... should be on the second floor.”

Seeing this, he strode up the stairs, reaching the second floor in a few steps.

In the corridor, he faced a row of offices.

He opened one casually—a greasy zombie with a balding head and beer belly lunged at him.

Xue Feng kicked out, sending the creature flying across the room.

He followed up with another bolt of divine lightning; the zombie convulsed, flames licking its body, and soon it was reduced to charcoal.

He closed the door and opened the second, then the third—zombies, all of them.

“Could she have been turned?”

A hint of regret flickered in Xue Feng’s mind.

Just then, a faint sobbing reached his ears.

“Hm?”

Xue Feng sharpened his senses.

Zombies didn’t cry; any sound like that could only come from a human.

He followed the sound, stopping before an office door.

Inside the filthy, chaotic office, a beautiful youth lay across the desk, weeping softly.

She wore a white lab coat, her features delicate and childlike, but most striking was the pronounced curve of her chest...

Heavens.

It really was her!

When he saw her face, Xue Feng’s heart skipped.

He hadn’t expected the intelligence hinting at Wang Xinyu to point to his first love.

Years had passed, yet she hadn’t changed much, especially her height.

Clearly, Wang Xinyu had been hiding here for quite some time. She looked exhausted, as if she hadn’t eaten for days.

Seeing her, Xue Feng’s eyes flickered; he silently retrieved a mask from his storage space and slipped it on.

...

Knock, knock, knock—

Inside the office, the sound of knocking echoed.

Half-conscious, Wang Xinyu summoned her strength, asking warily, “Who is it?”

No reply came. The tightly shut door was suddenly pushed open from outside.

A man, tall and strong with an extraordinary bearing, entered.

Seeing he was human and not a zombie, Wang Xinyu let out a sigh of relief.

“You’re here to rescue me?”

“Yes,” the masked man nodded, producing two loaves of bread and a carton of milk from nowhere. “You must be starving. Eat something first, then I’ll take you out.”

The fragrant food made Wang Xinyu’s eyes widen; she swallowed desperately.

Two days without food—her stomach felt hollow.

She didn’t bother replying, immediately wolfing down the food.

When she finished, Xue Feng finally spoke, voice muffled behind the mask, “Are you full?”

“Yes,” Wang Xinyu nodded gratefully. “Thank you for the food. Let’s leave quickly.”

“No rush,”

Xue Feng chuckled, “Since you’ve eaten my food, you must pay a price.”

“Price?”

Wang Xinyu paused, then realized, “Money, right? I happen to have three hundred here—enough to buy what you brought.”

She handed over the cash.

But Xue Feng didn’t take it; he shook his head instead. “Is your brain starved? This is the apocalypse. That bundle of paper is good for nothing, too stiff even to wipe yourself.”

“Then... what do you want?”

Wang Xinyu was stunned.

Not money—was he here for medical help?

As she pondered, Xue Feng leaned in, whispering softly in her ear, “Doctor, after days alone here, you must be lonely…”

The intelligence had hinted: whenever Wang Xinyu thought of her first love, she would use her hands…

Judging by the almost carpet of tissue paper scattered across the floor, she must have missed him dearly these days.

That made Xue Feng all the more eager to tease her.

Hearing his words, Wang Xinyu’s face changed; she shrank back.

But Xue Feng’s large hand reached out, grabbing her.

A sharp tearing sound followed.

“Relax, just endure a moment—it’ll feel wonderful.”

Wang Xinyu heard these words; pain jolted through her body.

She gasped, tears streaming from her eyes.

Since entering university and breaking up with Xue Feng, she had guarded her virtue.

Five years at university, she hadn’t dated.

After graduation, she hastened home for work, hoping to meet Xue Feng again, to rekindle their bond.

But now...

The thought made Wang Xinyu’s tears flow uncontrollably.

She tried to struggle, but the man’s strength was overwhelming; his arms pinned her tightly, leaving her powerless.

And this novel sensation—never experienced before—quickly sent her mind reeling.

“Slower... slow down!” Wang Xinyu whimpered, biting her lip.

Her only comfort was imagining the man before her as Xue Feng, the only way to ease her guilt.

About an hour and a half later, Wang Xinyu lay on the floor, clothes disheveled, eyes empty, tears still streaming.

She didn’t dare think how to face Xue Feng now.

In this apocalypse, she wondered how he was faring...

Meanwhile, Xue Feng watched her with amusement.

She protested, but her body responded honestly.

He decided not to pretend anymore.

If this little beauty did something foolish, he’d lose a skilled doctor.

With that, he removed his mask.

“How do you feel, my first love?”

“Uh…”

Wang Xinyu didn’t want to reply, but when she turned her head, she froze.

The face from her memories overlapped with the man before her.

It really was Xue Feng!
