My Fiery Girlfriend A fateful star, an ethereal verse. 985 words 2026-02-09 18:30:54

It has now been half a year since I began writing "Girlfriend." From the earliest days when it was just a hobby to now, with the book signed and published, I have experienced many stories and met people who have become incredibly important to Xingyuan. Looking at the results so far, I feel quite content. I know I have not always met the expectations of my readers; even though I have done my best to update during my spare time after work, I still cannot manage multiple updates a day or sudden bursts of chapters. There have even been many occasions when I had to take a break or skip updates due to circumstances beyond my control. I feel deeply apologetic and troubled by this. I often wonder: if I set aside my current job and devoted myself solely to writing a single work, would things be much better than they are now?

Yet, everyone’s life comes with its own constraints. Faced with my parents’ expectations and the questioning looks from family and friends, I cannot bring myself to give up my job, for doing so would mean losing the source of my livelihood. The income from writing is barely anything; relying on it to live is nothing but wishful thinking. In truth, my purpose in writing this book is simple: I hope everyone can gain something from it, or at the very least, feel some happiness and joy.

I am truly grateful for your understanding and support all along. I am someone who sees things through from beginning to end; since I started writing, I will finish. As for "Demon Vanquishing World," the reason I stopped updating it was partly due to time constraints, but the main reason was that my computer’s hard drive burnt out, and almost all my drafts were lost.

Sometimes, readers add me through my contact information, asking unique questions or sharing their thoughts on the characters and plot. I answer every question carefully and seriously consider every suggestion, because only readers can truly understand the author’s heart, isn’t that right?

Many readers, after reaching the VIP chapters, choose to continue reading the later chapters on pirated websites. I have no comment on this, because I can understand how everyone feels. If you can read for free, why pay for content? I cannot say this is right or wrong. Every author hopes their book will be discovered and read by more people. Once it is published, subscriptions become a bridge for the author to understand how their work is faring. Gaining a new fan, another subscription—such joy is hard for others to understand. Even if it’s only a few cents, in my eyes it is a priceless treasure, not because of the money, but because it is your affirmation of me. Thank you.

Every subscription, every flower, every comment is your support for me, and also my hope for "Girlfriend." Thank you all.

In the days ahead, I will do my best to keep updating. "Girlfriend" is gradually approaching its conclusion. I hope you will continue to support Xingyuan and "My Fiery Girlfriend." Thank you, my dear readers. Thank you for sticking with Xingyuan and "Girlfriend" until now. In the end, I still want to say something that may sound a bit sentimental: thank you all for your support. I love you.
