Chapter 59: You Got Stabbed to Death by a Door
Inside Dungeon Number Zero, Uchiha's face looked extremely pale and eerie under the flickering candlelight on the walls. After listening to his account, Uchiha Gin could not help but fall into deep contemplation.
The old man before him might truly be the original owner's grandfather. Hearing the top-secret history of the past from his lips left Uchiha Gin deeply shocked.
That uncle Uchiha Tajima, whom the original owner remembered as being so attentive and caring, turned out to be such a ruthless man. Not only had he murdered his own parents and imprisoned his grandfather, but he had also manipulated the original owner, brainwashing him and digging out his eyes.
Lifting his gaze again to look at the old man before him, the affection in the other's eyes as he looked back did not seem feigned at all.
If it were the original owner, he might have actually believed it. But he was not truly Uchiha Gin, and subconsciously, he wanted nothing to do with the whirlpool of the original owner's destiny.
Right now, he still carried an incomplete system that could go haywire at any moment.
Let's set a small goal for myself first: survive until the founding of Konoha.
"Gin, do not have too many misgivings. You only need to search for the whereabouts of Nameless together with Uchiha Tajima. Once Nameless is found, you will put this on her."
With these words, Uchiha Yao took out a simple hair hoop from his robes and placed it before Uchiha Gin.
"I have installed a control device inside it. It can wrest control of Nameless from Uchiha Tajima's hands. After you both return, I can manipulate Nameless, remove her Sharingan, and transplant it into you. By then, the two of us, grandfather and grandson, can take our revenge and unite the entire Uchiha clan, and you will become the clan head."
There was a faint, bewitching power in the old man's words. Uchiha Gin, whose willpower was not particularly firm, gradually felt a sense of yearning rise in his eyes, and he was on the verge of falling for the old scoundrel's tricks.
Suddenly, a wave of cool clarity surged from his eyes, and Uchiha Gin instantly regained his sobriety while breaking out in a cold sweat.
Glancing at the old man with a trace of vigilance, Uchiha Gin muttered inwardly that this old fogey indeed had malicious intentions and had started spinning grand illusions for him.
His rich experience as an exploited corporate drone in his past life told him that anyone who drew grand blueprints was utterly unreliable.
"Alright, Grandfather! With the two of us working as one, we can conquer anything. I will go and make preparations right away."
Feeling that the situation was turning unfavorable, Uchiha Gin immediately prepared to beat a retreat.
However, circumstances dictate one's actions, and it was unwise to completely tear down the facade with this old man just yet.
Putting away the hair hoop and affectionately taking the old man's hands, Uchiha Gin's eyes welled up with tears, and his voice trembled slightly.
"Grandfather! You have suffered all these years. Your grandson will definitely rescue you from here."
This sudden and drastic change in attitude caught even Uchiha Yao off guard for a moment. His eldest grandson seemed somewhat lacking in intelligence; could a fellow like this really accomplish his plan?
Perhaps he should just let Moryo possess him instead?
"The reason I stay in this dungeon is not that I cannot leave, but simply to avoid arousing unnecessary suspicion from Uchiha Tajima. You need not worry about my plight; the important thing is to find Nameless first." The old man shook his head, a haughty expression crossing his face.
"Since that is the case, your grandson will take his leave first." Uchiha Gin prepared to slip away with oiled soles.
"Return for now. If anything comes up, I will have Moryo notify you."
Uchiha Yao offered no retention, nodding to indicate dismissal.
Uchiha Gin was just about to turn around when he heard Uchiha Yao's voice coming from behind him.
"At this hour, Uchiha Ryuei has already returned. I will have Moryo escort you back."
With that, the eerie old jailer emerged from a dark corner. Unlike his usual expressionless demeanor, a faint trace of a smile lingered at the corners of his eyes, making Uchiha Gin's hair stand on end.
"That would truly be a great help."
Licking his dry lips, Uchiha Gin knew he could not avoid it.
He watched as the old jailer transformed into a mass of dark shadows that enveloped him. Uchiha Gin felt his five senses vanish entirely within the shroud, followed by the sensation of his body moving at high speed.
Within the span of a few breaths, light returned to his vision, and he found himself standing outside the dungeon gates, with the old jailer nowhere to be seen.
He looked up at the sky. Forget it; the amount of information he had absorbed today was simply too vast. Time to go home and sort out his thoughts—skipping work it is.
Walking home, the surrounding Uchiha clansmen still maintained their usual expression of keeping a respectful distance from him.
However, after the past few days, Uchiha Gin had long since grown used to it. As long as the original owner took the blame, he bore no psychological burden whatsoever.
"Why are you back so early today? Knocking off work this early?"
Dressed in casual home clothes, Senju Hashirama was sweeping the floor with a broom. Seeing Uchiha Gin return ahead of schedule, he asked with some surprise.
"This damned job is not worth keeping anyway."
Uchiha Gin squinted his dead-fish eyes, let out a yawn, and muttered in complaint.
"You certainly get familiar quickly, don't you?"
Seeing Senju Hashirama's posture, Uchiha Gin wore a teasing expression as he spoke.
"You evil Uchiha, who is getting familiar with you?!"
Hearing Uchiha Gin's banter, Senju Hashirama blushed, threw the broom aside, turned around and fled like the wind back to his bedroom, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.
"Such a brat who cannot take a joke."
Uchiha Gin shook his head; the kid's skin was still too thin.
"Cousin, I'm coming in!"
With the front door kicked open, Uchiha Izuna barged in stormily.

"Uchiha Izuna, if you cannot give me a reasonable explanation, you can prepare to be buried alongside my front door."
Glaring at the swaying, unstable door, a furious Uchiha Gin grabbed Uchiha Izuna's hedgehog-like hair and threatened him with a menacing voice.
"Wuwuwu—"
Caught in his grip, Izuna let out a miserable wail.
"Don't, don't, don't! I'm going to go bald! I actually have something important to tell you."
"Speak, what is it?"
Hearing this, Uchiha Gin finally released his grip. Izuna clutched his head, tears at the corners of his eyes.
"Dad asked me to bring you a message."
"What orders does Uncle have?"
Uchiha Tajima was contacting him again? Could it be that he had discovered his little tricks?
"There's a mission in three days. Dad told me to notify you so we can go together."
Rolling back up to his feet, Uchiha Izuna puffed out his cheeks and said with a deadpan expression.
"What are the details of the mission?"
What kind of mission could it be that required a brat like Izuna to deliver the message? Normally, such things were communicated by designated personnel.
"It's classified and cannot be revealed for now. You'll find out once you get there." Uchiha Izuna turned sideways, his eyes rolling around as he spoke in a secretive whisper.
"Bang!"
Uchiha Gin drove a fist straight down onto the smug-looking Uchiha Izuna's head.
"Then why aren't you hurrying up to fix my door for me!"
With a huge lump rising on his head, Uchiha Izuna obediently picked up a hammer and nails, crouching there and hammering away furiously to fix it.
After a while, a proud-looking Uchiha Izuna steadied the newly repaired front door and said,
"When it comes to repairing doors, I'm a professional."
And yet you were later impaled to death by a door.
Knowing the plot, Uchiha Gin thought of the cause of death for the brat before him, couldn't help but roll his eyes, and complained inwardly.
"Why do I feel like you're thinking of something unpleasant?"
Seeing Uchiha Gin's bizarre gaze, a bewildered Uchiha Izuna could not help asking.
"Izuna, be a bit nicer to your cousin. Who knows, maybe your cousin will be able to save your life from a door one day."
Patting Uchiha Izuna's little head, Uchiha Gin said with an earnest expression.
"Ah!!! You hit right on my bump!"
The sudden gentleness failed to move Izuna. Crying out in pain and hopping around, the young boy clutched his head and hastily took his leave—if he stayed here any longer, his life would be in jeopardy.
Seeing the "miserable" Uchiha Izuna, Uchiha Gin felt immensely gratified. The stress accumulated throughout the day was swept away in an instant. Rubbing his empty stomach, he called out into the house,
"Hey, Hashirama brat, what do you want to eat tonight?"
