Staring in horror at the bizarre-looking old prison guard across from him, Uchiha Gin instinctively retreated several steps to put some distance between them.

He had only wanted information, yet the old man was actually lusting after his body! Disgusting. What a depraved old pervert!

Though he cursed inwardly, he could not let it show if he wanted information about six years ago. Gritting his teeth, he said, “Thank you for your favor, Elder. Let us move on to the next question.”

“Who was the person imprisoned here six years ago?”

Uchiha Gin finally asked the question whose answer he had been desperate to learn.

“He was what they called...” The old prison guard answered slowly, “a traitor.”

“A traitor?”

At that word, Uchiha Gin’s brows drew together again. What exactly had happened six years ago? How had a traitor become involved?

“And who was this traitor?”

Uchiha Gin asked, a faint suspicion already stirring in his heart.

“Just as you suspect, he was a member of the Uchiha clan.”

The old prison guard’s tone grew heavy.

“Then this has nothing to do with the attack on the clan compound six years ago, does it?”

Uchiha Gin felt a headache coming on. The person who had been imprisoned was actually a traitor to the Uchiha clan.

As far as he knew, the Uchiha had always been plagued by internal conflicts. The reason was that its members were naturally sensitive and deeply emotional, forming powerful attachments to people and matters alike. As a result, disagreements often escalated into violent infighting.

“The attack on the clan compound? Heh...”

Hearing Uchiha Gin mutter to himself, the old prison guard let out a strange, mocking laugh.

“What do you mean?”

Sensing that there was more behind the old man’s words, Uchiha Gin could not help asking.

“They dressed that incident up as an attack. Truly laughable.”

After his cold sneer, the old prison guard dropped a bombshell.

“What exactly do you know?”

Uchiha Gin was shaken to the core. He had only intended to investigate the identity of the person imprisoned six years ago, yet he had somehow uncovered an even more secretive incident.

A moment later, Uchiha Gin clutched his throbbing head.

“But I was the only survivor of that attack. I saw it with my own eyes—the Kaguya clan slaughtered our elderly, children, and women.”

The terrible memories he had once sealed away were torn open yet again. The violent shock sent pain ripping through his skull, and his eyes became stained crimson, making him look like a ravenous beast.

“How can you be certain that what you saw was real?”

The old prison guard looked at Uchiha Gin, who was clutching his forehead and struggling to breathe, and sighed faintly.

“How do you know that you are truly yourself?”

The old prison guard’s words struck him like thunder exploding across a clear sky.

Uchiha Gin felt as though someone had pried open his skull and was frantically stirring his brain with a stick.

His eyes flew wide, his eyeballs seeming ready to burst from their sockets. Seen from a third-person perspective, the two tomoe in his left eye—which had never moved even a fraction before—were now spinning rapidly. As they turned, a third tomoe slowly emerged.

“AAAHHHHHHH...!”

The excruciating pain drove Uchiha Gin to howl aloud. His miserable cries alarmed the guards stationed outside the door.

Uchiha Hono and Uchiha Jiro rushed to the scene at once. Inside the cell, they found Uchiha Gin—the very man who had been speaking with them moments earlier—lying on the floor.

He was drenched in cold sweat, his face deathly pale, and his eyes tightly shut. The two men immediately tried to revive him.

Yet no matter what methods they used, they could not wake him. Realizing that nothing could be done there, they hoisted Uchiha Gin onto their shoulders and ran toward the medical station in the clan compound.

Unconscious, Uchiha Gin once again dreamed of an unfamiliar scene.

In a strange hospital room, a young girl sat curled up in one corner, while a somewhat older boy sat in another.

The scene shifted. Amid a field of ruins, the girl rested her head against the boy’s chest, crying as she said something to him. Blood was already spilling from both of the boy’s eyes.

In the final scene, the boy raised his head. A bewitchingly red moon hung in the sky.

At the Uchiha clan’s medical station, Uchiha Gin lay on a hospital bed with two boys sitting beside him.

Uchiha Izuna watched Uchiha Gin’s constantly changing expression with a face full of anxiety, then turned to the boy beside him.

“Big Brother, Cousin Gin isn’t going to kick the bucket, is he?”

Uchiha Madara’s face darkened. He smacked the babbling Uchiha Izuna on the head.

“What nonsense are you talking about? Didn’t Elder Miao say that this guy is as sturdy as an ox? He probably passed out because of an old injury from his last mission.”

Uchiha Miao, who had just stepped outside, had told them that Uchiha Gin had lost consciousness because an old injury had flared up.

The mission records of Uchiha Fenghuo and the others clearly stated that Uchiha Gin had suffered a head injury during an attack by the Senju clan.

Outside the room, Uchiha Tajima, whom they had not seen in quite some time, was speaking with the round-bodied Uchiha Yan.

The clan leader, Uchiha Tajima, frowned and asked coldly, “Elder Yan, what exactly happened to Gin in the dungeon?”

Uchiha Yan was sweating profusely. He truly had no idea how Uchiha Gin had collapsed inside the cell. He had visited Gin only yesterday, and the man had seemed perfectly fine at the time.

When the two of them saw Uchiha Miao emerge, they both turned their eyes toward him.

“Uchiha Gin’s ocular power has increased again.”

Uchiha Miao spoke with some disbelief.

“And I discovered that the seal has loosened somewhat.”

The two men exchanged glances, both revealing grave expressions.

“Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Leaving aside the seal, those eyes of his were simply taken from the corpses. There is no way he could awaken the Copy Wheel Eye!”

Uchiha Yan spoke with absolute certainty.

“What is the condition of the seal?”

Compared with Uchiha Yan’s fixation on the Copy Wheel Eye, Uchiha Tajima was more concerned about the seal.

He had personally placed that seal, and only now had his own eyes recovered. The aftereffects of having overexerted them back then had been far too severe.

“I can only determine that some kind of power is making slight contact with the seal and slowly devouring it.”

Uchiha Miao shook his head expressionlessly, indicating that he too was completely at a loss.

“You must uncover the secrets hidden within Uchiha Gin.”

Uchiha Tajima narrowed his eyes.

“Is that really necessary?” Uchiha Yan asked in confusion as he wiped away his sweat. “After losing his eyes, he is no longer worth our time. Our top priority should be finding the whereabouts of that ‘weapon.’”

At the mention of the word “weapon,” a trace of wariness flashed through the eyes of everyone present.

“How is the interrogation of the Sarutobi imprisoned in the dungeon going?” Uchiha Tajima asked.

“We will have an answer soon. Shadowflow is handling it personally. Even the Sage of Six Paths could not withstand his methods.”

Uchiha Yan confidently assured Uchiha Tajima.

“Do not disappoint me again, Elder Yan.”

A trace of scarlet flashed through Uchiha Tajima’s eyes. His icy gaze made Uchiha Yan feel cold all over, while the pressure radiating from him left Yan struggling to breathe.

“Elder Miao, you must also decipher the records left behind by that person as quickly as possible. Once the ‘weapon’ emerges, it will need shackles. Otherwise...”

His gaze grew even colder. Within his slightly narrowed eyes, the familiar three tomoe were gone, replaced by pupils shaped like strange, four-pointed shuriken.

“The weapon may turn on its master.”

The strange pattern vanished in an instant. Uchiha Yan and Uchiha Miao did not dare even breathe too loudly.

“Father, Cousin Gin is awake!”

The frozen atmosphere dissolved as Uchiha Izuna burst through the hospital-room door.

“Elder Yan, Elder Miao, go on ahead. I will see how Gin is doing.”

Uchiha Tajima put on a warm smile as he spoke to the two elders.

“Yes, of course.”

The two elders looked as though they had been granted a reprieve from execution and hurried away.

“Izuna, let us go.”

With that, Uchiha Tajima opened the door and entered. He saw Uchiha Gin sitting up on the hospital bed and was just about to ask him what had happened.

Instead, Uchiha Gin spoke first, his expression peculiar and his words utterly astonishing.

“Uncle Tajima, that brat Uchiha Madara is a hardcore homosexual. It’s an illness, and it needs treatment!”
