Night had fallen deep within a dense forest, where a small group had set up camp. A simple tent stood near a crackling campfire. Four figures sat around the fire, each clad in high-collared robes. Their pale, somber faces appeared haunting in the flickering firelight.

Most bore various wounds, the silence lingering heavily before one of them—a black-haired man with a ponytail—finally spoke. “If it weren’t for that brat holding us back, we would have finished by now. I’m going to teach him a lesson!”

He rose and strode toward the tent, his hand resting on the long blade at his waist, as if ready to exact immediate vengeance.

“Enough. The clan leader must decide on this matter. We are in the midst of chaos; every additional hand increases our chance of success.”

The older man seated in the center interrupted firmly. Though he had little interaction with those inside the tent, their status left him no choice but to obey. After all, it was the clan leader’s command that he look after this one, no matter how useless he seemed.

The ponytailed man’s anger simmered but he could not defy the captain’s orders.

Inside the tent, a man was slowly regaining consciousness.

“Where the hell am I?” he muttered. “I remember drinking and wandering by the river, then I must have slipped...”

A sharp pain stabbed his head, and his back throbbed as though struck by a cart. He struggled to open his eyes but saw no familiar ceiling—only the dim outline of a canvas tent above him. Attempting to move his hand, he found himself paralyzed, as if trapped by a spirit’s pressure. A piercing headache overwhelmed him, and he lost consciousness once more.

After some time, the sounds of arguing outside stirred him awake. His limbs regained strength bit by bit as he propped himself up awkwardly.

Gazing at his unfamiliar hands and attire, and at the samurai sword lying beside him, memories flooded his mind. He fell silent for a moment.

“Damn, I really did transmigrate? And into Naruto’s world? Well, at least I remember most of the story—something about Rasengan and that gay stuff—but this timeline seems off.”

Indeed, he was a recently employed office worker who had been idly passing time at work. During a team-building event, he had drunk a bit too much and wandered alone to the riverbank. Intoxicated and disoriented, he slipped into the water and died. Now, upon awakening, he found himself trapped in the body of an unfortunate soul.

“Uchiha Gin... Uchiha, huh?”

According to his recollections, this was the Warring States period, long before the founding of Konoha. It was a time of endless conflict. The Uchiha clan had just formed an alliance with the Hane clan to oppose the Senju clan.

Their current mission was the “Seedling Eradication Operation,” designed to weaken the Senju’s rising generation by ambushing and killing their young, thus breaking their lineage.

The original owner of this body was named Uchiha Gin, an orphan whose parents had both perished in war.
