Chapter 17: Completion of the Game Console Upgrade

My name is Gin Uchiha. Ever since I got stuck with this outdated system, not a single day has been easy.
Not only do I have to complete the ridiculous tasks it assigns, but every day I have to trick people and then get beaten up. At night, when I finally return home, I'm ambushed by skills the system randomly spawns in my own courtyard.
And now, the hard-earned points from completing tasks have been swallowed up by the system.
Life is just too tough for me!
“Ding, game machine loading complete, please check the details yourself.”
With the system’s prompt sounding again, the otherwise ordinary game machine emitted a brilliant light so bright that Gin Uchiha had to close his eyes.
After a moment, the light faded, revealing a brand-new blue slot machine in front of him.
It was no different from the arcade machines of his previous life—at the top was a screen to record points, and below were the classic three glass windows.
Instead of the usual symbols he was used to, the glass windows slowly rolled letters that Gin leaned in to read carefully. They displayed “Nin,” “Tai,” and “Sei,” with a combination guide prominently shown in the center.
Nin + Nin + ? = Ninjutsu effects doubled
Nin + Nin + Nin = Ninjutsu effects x10
Tai + Tai + ? = Taijutsu effects doubled
Tai + Tai + Tai = Taijutsu effects x10
Sei + Sei + ? = Chakra amount doubled
Sei + Sei + Sei = Chakra amount x10
? + ? + ? = Random effect doubled
Each spin costs points x10, and rewards can be claimed immediately or accumulated.
P.S.: Immediate claim means the host gets a buff on the next use of the specified skill; accumulated rewards can be exchanged 1:1 for corresponding attribute points.
After patiently reading the instructions on the machine and glancing at his empty points balance, Gin Uchiha asked in confusion,
“Don’t tell me my points got spent on the draw?”
“Congratulations, host! Luck is on your side—function reward unlocked: Luck +100% (guaranteed critical combo on spin).”
“So you did spend my points?”
Gin asked with a deadpan expression, his eyes dull and lifeless.
[System, is there any way to help me get through this crisis?]
Suddenly, a projection appeared in the void, showing Gin’s current journey and his inquiry to the system.
“The system detected the host’s request. Executing emergency avoidance. Since the host can only use points, the system has automatically performed the spin.”
The system’s prompt sounded, and for some reason, Gin caught a trace of schadenfreude in the otherwise emotionless tone.
“Congratulations, host, you spun the Nin + Nin + Nin combination. Ninjutsu effect x10 / Nin +10... Host selection timed out, system randomly assigned Ninjutsu effect x10.”
The delayed prompt followed immediately.

“...”
Auto-playing now? If I hand you my phone, you can play it yourself—I’m done.
This system not only lags the client but also takes liberties to spin the wheel for me. That’s just beyond absurd.
Now at least I understand how that exaggerated giant Fireball Jutsu came about. Gin winced in pain!
Attribute points +10. Considering that all his current attribute points were still in the single digits, he summoned his status panel:
Host: Gin Uchiha
Nin: 7
Tai: 8
Int: 9
Sei: 6
Cha: 1
Eye: 10
Skills: Basic Taijutsu, Great Fireball Technique, Uchiha Beginner Swordsmanship, Intermediate Shuriken Jutsu.
Overall Evaluation: A somewhat clever, trouble-prone Uchiha Chunin with dual tomoe Sharingan.
If he added those 10 points to his ninjutsu attribute, his total nin value would reach 17, possibly boosting his ninjutsu strength to a special Jonin level.
While calculating, he suddenly noticed a blind spot.
Why did the slot machine’s symbols only include Nin, Tai, and Sei—easy to understand as they correspond to attribute points—but why were Int (intelligence) and Cha (charm) missing?
“Because the host’s intelligence and appearance are too extraordinary; the system cannot alter them.”
The system seemed to hear his thoughts and abruptly explained.
“Intelligence 9, Charm 1—what do you mean? Should we all just give up and destroy everything?”
After grumbling for a while, Gin sighed and resigned himself to his fate, staring at his hands. The external crisis had yet to be resolved.
Defeating Naruto Uzumaki with his current self was unlikely, unless the gadget given by Mito Uzumaki was really useful. Staying locked inside the system wasn’t a solution either; he had to try going out.
With that thought, Gin exited the system. When he came back to his senses, mere moments had passed outside.
Beside him, Gin’s teammate Uchiha Fusoka still wore a shocked expression, while Naruto Uzumaki slid out from the side. The earlier massive fireball had clearly stunned him.
Seeing Gin, Naruto didn’t rush forward but instead kept his distance, using his sensory perception to gauge Gin’s condition.
“Strange, this guy really has a fair amount of chakra, but not enough to create such a terrifying Great Fireball. How did he manage that?”
Using his enhanced sensory abilities, Naruto scanned Gin, detecting a more overwhelming chakra flow than a typical Uchiha. Unable to discern the cause, he hesitated.
Moreover, Naruto sensed a familiar energy radiating from this despicable Uchiha, which puzzled him further.
“Could this kid be a hybrid?”

Naruto speculated.
He then looked at Gin’s face. Gin felt as if someone was undressing him with their eyes, and seeing Naruto fixated on his face, he was alarmed.
“This kid’s appearance is delicate but powerfully built—could he be from the Southern Tokou clan?”
Gin, unnerved by the gaze, tensed up.
“Gin, I don’t know how you suddenly unleashed such potential, but it won’t help in this fight. You should retreat first and don’t come back this time.”
After recovering, Uchiha Fusoka stood and approached Gin, who was still sweating nervously. Seeing his pained expression, Fusoka assumed he was frightened and offered comfort.
“Captain, I think the opponent’s target might be only me. Let me hold him off. You go support Ryoichi and the others. After dealing with that Uzumaki clan, come back and assist me.”
Gin took this chance to avoid his captain. Seeing Naruto still staring at him and ignoring Fusoka, he proposed the plan.
“But your strength...”
Fusoka hesitated, his expression clearly saying “You’re too weak.”
“Captain, don’t worry. I’ve undergone a transformation. Isn’t there a saying in the clan? The Uchiha only awaken their true power in dire straits.”
A pair of crimson Sharingan eyes appeared in Gin’s gaze as he turned to Fusoka. The two tadpole-shaped tomoe within silently spun.
“You actually unlocked the dual tomoe? Is this the so-called ‘late bloomer’ awakening?”
Having witnessed Gin awaken his Sharingan in just a few days and quickly evolve to the dual tomoe stage—something most clan members never achieve—Fusoka sighed in admiration.
Though the Uchiha clan had many members, only about one-tenth could awaken the Sharingan in their lifetime. Gin’s “advanced age” of 24 made his awakening even more remarkable, and his rapid development forced Fusoka to find a convenient explanation of “late bloomer.”
“Be careful. I’ll resolve the fight over there as soon as possible.”
Before leaving, Fusoka gave Gin a long, meaningful look, as if to imprint his face in memory.
“Why the serious look? I’m not actually going to throw my life away.”
Seeing Fusoka’s expression, Gin could only sigh helplessly.
In truth, the moment Fusoka turned away, he silently thought,
“Truly worthy of being your child. I believe he will create miracles just like you.”
“The nuisance is finally gone. I never had much interest in him anyway.”
Glancing at the departing Fusoka, Naruto shrugged his iron shoulders and said casually.
Hearing the word “interest,” Gin’s face turned green instantly.
“Could he really be from the Southern Tokou? I may be handsome, but I’m no little Nanliang!”
