The instant Herbert realized the situation he was in, his expression changed.

This was bad.

There was a pervert here!

“How did he get in here!?”

What!?

A chill ran up Herbert’s back. His thighs tightened involuntarily as he clenched his sphincter.

No, no, no. Don’t panic when something happens!

Calm down.

This was his territory. He was the warden, and he controlled the sealing formation... Ah!

The control of the sealing formation had been seized!

“Damn it...”

This was going to be bad.

Honestly, if the other man had merely been a murderer, Herbert would not have been this flustered.

Everyone must die eventually, whether their death weighed less than a feather or more than Mount Tai.

The worst that could happen was that he died!

It was not as though he had never been crushed to death by Mount Tai before.

But being violated was different.

That was something Herbert was genuinely afraid of...

His opponent was a terrifying existence who would not even spare a fish!

Would he spare a beautiful, white-haired young man like Herbert!?

Obviously not!

And besides, did the man not realize what kind of place this was?

A monastery!

A priest and a young boy—the setting itself practically came with a bonus for that classic genre.

Worst of all, even if Herbert killed himself right now, someone might still take advantage of the situation while his body was warm...

He had read far too many bizarre case files in his previous life. He had long since abandoned all illusions about the depths of other people’s depravity.

Forget the dead. In some places, they would not even spare baboons or lizards.

The buff was maxed out, my friend.

“Why would he come here in the middle of the night!? He can’t seriously be after my body, can he?”

Though Herbert was panicking badly, he had not lost his reason. He could sense that something about this situation was wrong.

The nonhuman prison was an extremely dangerous place. Aside from the warden and the archbishop, anyone else who entered would be classified as a prisoner.

There was no reason for the man to put himself in danger.

Besides, even if he truly intended to make a move on Herbert, would he really be so desperate to get started?

What was going on beneath the surface?

Herbert thought about it for a moment, but soon cast those distracting thoughts aside.

The reason did not matter.

Whatever the other man was thinking, whatever his purpose might be, Herbert could not hesitate any longer.

Run, run, run!

Herbert took off, sprinting through the darkness at full speed.

For now, he needed to find somewhere to hide.

A changing cabinet, a wooden crate, Force Grass, the dig-three-fill-one trick... Damn it, why was there not a single place to hide in this entire dungeon?

As Herbert frantically searched for somewhere to conceal himself, Nenasha leisurely reminded him, as though merely watching a show:

“He’s coming straight for you~ Be careful~”

What?

Whose side are you on!?

“Nenasha!”

Gritting his teeth, Herbert roared inwardly, “Are you enjoying watching me get into danger!?”

“Am I? Oh my, I have always been rather indifferent~ Even if he defiles you, it will not change the way I see you~”

“Besides, you are a man, so you will not be the one losing out~”

Easy for you to say!

Herbert could not be bothered to argue with her. He simply ordered, “Do not just stand there watching. Give me some help! How long until he catches up?”

“Haha, since you put it that way, I suppose I can reluctantly help you~”

Nenasha laughed teasingly twice before answering cooperatively, “Let me see... About ten minutes?”

Ten minutes.

Herbert calculated the distances to the various locations and immediately made up his mind.

There!

He turned left and rushed toward the black-iron coffin.

The distance between him and his pursuer had already grown dangerously short. Herbert had no time to hide and shouted at the top of his lungs:

“Eliza!”

“Save me!”

The time had come for her to be useful!

Three minutes later, Herbert reached the black-iron coffin holding the vampire. Without the slightest hesitation, he slammed his fist against it.

Boom!

Eliza, who had been weakly sleeping inside, was startled awake and abruptly opened her eyes.

“Huh!?”

What was going on!?

Had someone come to break her out?

Or was someone attacking the prison?

Eliza was too bewildered to speak. Outside the coffin, however, Herbert was growing frantic. He began pounding on it repeatedly.

Bang bang bang bang bang!

“Wake up! Wake up! The sun is already shining on your backside! How can someone your age still sleep so soundly?”

Come out, hurry!

The black-iron coffin was loud enough when struck from the outside, but being trapped inside it made the experience even worse. Eliza’s head began to buzz.

“Ahhhhh! Shut up!”

Eliza yelled and hammered the inner wall of the coffin in return. In an extremely irritable voice, she shouted, “What do you want now!?”

The last time, she had not only failed to gain any advantage over him, but had also been thoroughly defiled, nearly suffering a severe loss of vitality.

A pair of scarlet eyes, burning like blood-red flames, appeared in the gap of the coffin and glared viciously at the young man outside.

To be honest, taken at face value, the scene was rather eerie and frightening.

But even stranger than the scene itself were the words spoken by the human boy.

He said:

“Enough nonsense. Give me your blood!”

Eliza said, “I do not care what you are trying to—huh?”

What?

Wait, what had he just said?

Large question marks appeared in her scarlet eyes.

Blood?

You?

You want me to give you my blood!?

“You... Uh... What!? You—you want my blood?”

“Yes! Hand it over!”

No, those were her lines!

Perhaps the shock had reached its limit. The vampire, who had been bewildered moments earlier, suddenly calmed down. Narrowing her eyes, she examined Herbert from head to toe.

“...What are you planning?”

Eliza had no idea what Herbert intended, but instinct told her that something was terribly wrong.

It was perfectly normal for a vampire to ask a human for blood. That satisfied both hunger and biological needs.

But for a human to demand blood from a vampire in return was extremely strange.

What was this fellow planning?

Was he... trying to become a vampire?

Eliza eyed Herbert suspiciously, unable to think of any reason he would want to become one.

A holy man wanting to fall into vampirism?

That was more than a little abnormal, was it not?

But never mind.

What did it have to do with her?

This was a rare opportunity!

“Paladin, whatever you intend to do, I can give you my blood. But you must exchange your blood for it.”

Eliza stared at Herbert and said in a deep voice, “I will give you one drop, and you will give me one hundred.”

Herbert nodded. “I can give you three at most.”

What!?

Eliza immediately exploded.

“Three!? Are you insane? That is my vital essence! Fifty at the very least!”

She understood haggling, but what did he mean by slashing the offer all the way down to the heel!?

“Five. Not one drop more.”

Though Herbert was extremely anxious, his attitude remained unyielding. He showed not the slightest intention of compromising.

He even threatened her:

“Think carefully. This is the first deal between us. If you refuse, do not expect another chance afterward!”

Miss Vampire, surely you would not want to have no blood to drink in the future... would you?
