Zhao Nan hadn’t expected that on his very first attempt, someone would break through his defense. His luck seemed to be a bit off. He sighed and, without hesitation before the youth, tucked the money in his hand back into his clothes.

This action caused the girl to furrow her brows, appearing quite regretful as she sighed, “Come with me and confess!”

Zhao Nan ignored her and flicked his finger casually. His persuasion skill flashed forth like a beam of light from a flashlight, instantly shooting toward the girl.

At that moment, the girl snorted softly. The persuasion skill seemed to pass straight through her body, vanishing at the edge of its limited range.

Zhao Nan narrowed his eyes. The skill hadn’t truly passed through her body—she had moved at high speed just as the skill was about to hit, dodged it, and then returned to her original position, creating the illusion of passing through.

After the girl left, Zhao Nan cautiously peeked out from the building above the alley and muttered softly, “So this is Pandora...”

“Who are you...?”

A terrified voice came from behind. Zhao Nan turned to see a gaunt young man, panic-stricken, looking at an indecent video on his computer screen while pulling down his pants.

“Too much of this harms the body... better go to sleep,” Zhao Nan said coolly. He cast the persuasion skill, causing the man to gradually fall asleep, then climbed out the window and left the alley with a calm expression.

But in his heart, he was still pondering the girl’s matter. This must be Pandora... but was she an ordinary Pandora, or an elite among them?

Zhao Nan said, “You and I are set to enter Nitex Academy and become Controllers. If conditions are equal, they must already have identities more closely tied to the plot.”

Xiao Nan shook her head, confused. “They did a lot of tests inside; it left me feeling dazed. Luckily, all the examiners were women, or I wouldn’t have lasted.”

Zhao Nan asked, “What were the results?”

“Xiao Nan and I both passed the implant compatibility check. Before we left, we were told we’d be implanted with Stigmata in the next few days and then enrolled in Nitex Academy...” Finina paused, a bit worried. “But the implantation requires some time, followed by adaptation training. It seems we can’t start school immediately... If we proceed, we might have to be apart for a while.”

Zhao Nan smiled. “Pandora are human treasures. After you get the Stigmata implanted, Shuli Ba Liye will do everything to ensure your safety.”

“Do you know each other, Ye?” the homeroom teacher asked with curiosity.
